On defense they did allow 4.5 yards per run to the Titans with 181 yards passing on 34 attempts. Saints were 1 of 4 inside the red zone and held the Titans to 0 of 3. New Orleans picked off three passes and had a +1 turnover margin. Derek Carr in his New Orleans debut went 23 of 33 for 305 yards with a touchdown and interception. Carr was effective downfield averaging 9.2 yards per attempt. Carolina is 0-1 with their 24-10 road defeat to the Atlanta Falcons. Panthers get outscored 14-0 in the final quarter. Carolina did rush for nearly five yards a carry, but the passing game flowed poorly. They allowed five yards per run to the Falcons with only 91 passing yards on 18 attempts. Rookie Bryce Young completed 20 of 38 for 146 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. He averaged only 3.8 yards per attempt. Carolina surrendered 3 of 3 red zone conversions to the Falcons. Good downfield passing for Carr in the opener. Derek Carr finally has a good defense on his team. Panthers’ offense will have their struggles against this Saints defense. Browns at Steelers—Amario Cooper questionable for Cleveland. On defense a free safety is questionable. Pittsburgh receiver Diontae Johnson is out with their starters on defense healthy. Cleveland is 1-0 following their 24-3 home victory to Cincinnati. Browns has a huge rushing performance with 206 yards on 40 attempts. They limited the Bengals to under four yards per run with 67 yards passing on 32 attempts. DeShaun Watson went 16 of 29 for 154 yards with a touchdown and a pick. He averaged 5.3 yards per attempt. He did run for 45 yards and a touchdown. Pittsburgh fell to 0-1 after their 30-7 home defeat to the San Francisco 49ers. Steelers rushed for 41 yards on ten carries. On defense they allowed over five yards per run to the 49ers with 203 passing on 29 attempts. Kenny Pickett went 31 of 46 for 232 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Watson struggled getting the ball downfield. Watson is 3-5 to the spread as a road favorite. The Steelers have won three of four against the Browns.
