San Francisco improved to 9-4 after their 35-7 home win to Tampa Bay. 49ers gained 404 yards with 209 rushing on 36 carries. On defense, they limited the Bucs to under four yards per rush with 253 passing on 55 attempts. Brock Purdy completed 76.2% of his throws for 8.8 yards per attempt. He passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns. On the year, Purdy a 67.2% completion rate with 6.9 yards per attempt. Seattle dropped to 7-6 after their 30-24 home defeat to Carolina. Seahawks posted 287 yards with 46 rushing on 14 attempts. They did allow nearly five yards per rush to the Panthers with 105 passing on 24 attempts. Geno Smith completed 58.3% with 7.3 yards per attempt. He passed for 264 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Purdy expected to play with the oblique injury. Josh Johnson is the backup who broke into the league in 2008 and has been utilized as a backup throughout much of his career. The 36 year old was on the Denver practice squad this season. Biggest issue in this game is the Seahawks defense that in their past three games has allowed 408 yards with 226 rushing for 5.7 yards per rush. 49ers can exploit the Seahawks run defense and make things easier for Purdy in the passing game. 49ers defense in outstanding form right now.
