TCU was one of the greatest surprises in college football this year, but it must now demonstrate that it can advance and challenge for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Two of the Horned Frogs’ three non-conference victories were by double digits, while their lone win by a single-digit margin came against SMU, 42-34.

Since then, they faced three consecutive ranked opponents in a challenging schedule. In its first game this month, TCU defeated then-No. 18 Oklahoma by 31 points before ending Kansas’ undefeated season with a 38-31 final score.

Last week, the Horned Frogs defeated then-No. 8 Oklahoma State in a double-overtime victory to maintain their undefeated record.

In that contest, quarterback Max Duggan helped the squad come back from a 30-16 fourth-quarter deficit. Duggan completed 69.5% of his throws for 1,591 yards and 16 touchdowns with only one interception this year.

Before Colorado’s season-opening match, he was demoted from the starting lineup, but after Chandler Morris injured his knee, he was given the role back.
