One of the main College Football Playoff prospects going into the season was Utah, but those expectations were already all but crushed.

After losing to Florida in a tight game to start the season, the Utes went on a four-game winning streak, dominating each one by at least 20 points.

They lost 42-32 at UCLA last week after playing another challenging away game. Rising had two significant giveaways and failed to complete a touchdown pass.

With 249 yards and three scores on the ground, Rising gives Utah a second threat. Tavion Thomas, a junior running back, amassed 386 yards and five touchdowns on 85 tries while averaging 4.5 yards per carry.

When tight end Brant Kuithe sustained a season-ending leg injury in Week 4, tight end Rising lost one of his main targets in the passing game.
