Troy at Western Kentucky—Troy improved to 2-2 after a 16-7 home win to Marshall. Trojans with a monster defensive performance holding the Thundering Herd to only 174 yards. Offensively Troy got production through the air.
Quarterback Gunnar Watson did complete 15 of 25 averaging 12.8 yards per attempt. On the season Watson 66.4% completion rate, five touchdowns, five picks and 8.7 per attempt. Western Kentucky is 3-1 with their 73-0 home win to FIU. Hilltoppers rolled up 688 yards in the win running and passing effectively.
Defensively WKU limited the Golden Panthers to 180 yards. Quarterback Austin Reed completing 73.2% completions, 14 touchdowns, 3 picks and 8.9 yards per attempt.
Troy dropped both road games at App St and Ole Miss. Troy pass defense on the road giving up 65.6% completions and 7.2 per attempt with the bigger issue 5.5 yards per rush attempt. Play Western Kentucky -5.
UTEP vs. Charlotte College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
UTEP at Charlotte—UTEP improved to 2-3 after their 27-10 home win to Boise St. Miners kept the ball on the ground with 54 rushes for 199 yards. Huge defensive performance by UTEP with 173 yards allowed.
Quarterback Gavin Hardison threw 11 passes completing 10 for 123 yards. Hardison on the season completing only 51.2% with 6.4 yards per attempt. Charlotte fell to 1-4 with the 56-20 road defeat at South Carolina behind only 292 yards. 49ers defense crushed giving up 545 yards with 295 rushing on 40 carries.
Senior quarterback Chris Reynolds completing 67.8% of his passes with 8.2 yards per attempt. Charlotte defense poor giving up 561 yards, 5.6 per rush, 73.2% completion and 11.1 yards per pass attempt. Play UTEP -3.
UL Monroe vs. Arkansas St College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
UL Monroe at Arkansas St—UL Monroe improved to 2-2 after their 21-17 home win to Louisiana. War Hawks limited the Ragin Cajuns on the ground allowing 86 yards rushing on 38 carries. Offensively they gained 419 yards with 227 rushing on 39 carries.
Quarterback Chandler Rogers is completing 64.8% of his throws with 7.1 yards per attempt. He is a threat to run but averages just 2.5 a carry on 42 attempts. Arkansas St 1-3 following a 29-26 road defeat at Old Dominion. The run game fell way short with under three yards a carry.
Red Wolves did smother the Monarchs on the ground but allowed 279 passing yards on 32 attempts. Florida St transfer quarterback James Blackman completing 67.5% of his throws with 7.8 yards per attempt.
Tough spot last week for Arkansas St playing their third road game in three weeks but have covered all four games this season. Blackman’s play the difference as is the home field. Play Arkansas St -7.
Georgia Southern vs. Coastal Carolina College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Georgia Southern at Coastal Carolina—Georgia Southern improves to 3-1 after their 34-23 home win to Ball St. Eagles had success moving the football with 475 yards running well. Buffalo transfer quarterback Kyle Vantrease big game against Ball St throwing for 310 yards and 7.9 yards per pass attempt.
Defensively Georgia Southern did surrender 496 yards with 338 passing on 47 carries. Coastal Carolina improves to 4-0 after their 41-24 road win at Georgia St. Chanticleers rolled up 540 yards running for 272 on 52 carries.
Quarterback Grayson McCall coming off a good performance at Georgia St throwing for 268 yards for 9.9 yards per attempt. On the season McCall completing 70.4% with 10.2 yards per attempt.

Daniels is questionable with a strained back. Head coach Kelly said Daniels would have returned to the game last week if the game was closer. Auburn is 3-1 after their 17-14 home win in overtime to Missouri. Tigers offense held to only 217 yards. Defense carries the Auburn Tigers giving up 312 yards and a +2 turnover margin.
Quarterback Robby Ashford completing 57.4% of his throws with 7.9 yards per attempt. He has throw no more than nineteen times a game but is a dual threat who runs. This is LSU’s first true road and first out of the state of Louisiana. Higher volume passing for Auburn will be helpful in covering here. Play Auburn +8.5.
Virginia vs. Duke College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Virginia at Duke—Virginia fell to 2-2 after their 22-20 road defeat at Syracuse. Another poor offense performance for the Cavaliers as they gain only 287 yards. They have been held to under 300 yards in all games against major conferences.
Run game did generate 149 yards on 29 carries for five yards a carry. They stuffed the Orange ground attack to 75 yards on 38 carries. Senior quarterback Brennan Armstrong has seen his production drop hitting 52.1% completions, 3 touchdowns, 4 picks and 6.1 yards per pass attempt. Duke fell to 3-1 after their 35-27 road loss at Kansas.
Blue Devils couldn’t contain the Jayhawks offense allowing 528 yards with 324 passing on 23 attempts. Duke quarterback Riley Leonard had a good performance at Kansas with 324 yards and 9.3 yards per attempt.
On the season Leonard averaging 71.3% completions with 10.4 per attempt. Also, a threat to run. Back to back road games for Virginia. Cavs passing game a concern and Leonard’s ability to run effectively the difference. Play Duke -2.5.
Indiana vs. Nebraska College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Indiana at Nebraska-Indiana fell to 3-1 after their 45-24 road defeat at Cincinnati. Hoosiers couldn’t recover from the 38-10 halftime deficit. Run game stalled but on defense they defended the run well on the Bearcats.
Missouri transfer quarterback Connor Bazelak struggled at Cincinnati with 47% completion rate and 4.2 yards per attempt which was his worst of the season. Bazelak on the season completing 53.5% with 5.8 per attempt. Nebraska 1-3 after their 49-14 home defeat to Oklahoma.
Cornhuskers defense was crushed for 580 yards with 312 rushing on 54 carries. Quarterback Casey Thompson did complete 14 of 20 but only 6.5 yards per pass attempt. On the season the Texas transfer is completing 65% with 8.5 yards per pass attempt.
Cornhuskers defense has been poor this season. They are giving up 514 yards, 5.7 yards per rush with 280 passing for 10.5 yards per attempt. Prior to giving up 49 to Oklahoma at home they allowed 445 in a home loss to Georgia Southern. Play Indiana +5.5.

NC State vs. Clemson College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
NC State at Clemson—NC State moves to 4-0 after their 41-10 home win to UCONN behind 492 yards. Defense held the Huskies to 160 yards.
Quarterback Devin Leary is completing 64% of his throws with 7.1 yards per attempt. His worst game was his only road game where he completed 51.5% with 6.4 per attempt as they scored 21 points in a one point win at East Carolina. Clemson comes off the 51-45 road overtime win at Wake Forest.

USC transfer quarterback Kedon Slovis completing 66.7% of his passes with 9.2 yards per pass attempt. Panthers have a balanced approach to their offense with 182 yards rushing per game. Georgia Tech was held to 214 yards to Ole Miss and 237 yards to Clemson in blowout losses. Play Pittsburgh -22.
