UCLA moves to 2-0 after their 45-7 home win to FCS Alcorn St. In their opener it was a 45-17 home win to Bowling Green behind 626 yards of offense. Quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson is questionable with an undisclosed injury.
His backup Ethan Garbers played well hitting 17 of 22 for 223 yards with a touchdown and pick. He saw action in the win against Bowling Green hitting 3 of 4 for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Bruins are running for 5.9 yards a carry. These are two offenses averaging over 500 yards behind good quarterback play. Play South Alabama and UCLA over 59.
Ohio vs. Iowa St College Football Pick Prediction 9/17/2022
Ohio at Iowa St—Ohio fell to 1-1 with the 46-10 road defeat at Penn St. Bobcats gained only 267 yards in defeat. Defensively the Bobcats surrendered 562 yards to the Nittany Lions with 234 rushing on 34 carries. Ohio surrendered 338 passing yards on 42 attempts.
Bobcats quarterback Kurtis Rourke struggled hitting 14 of 30 for 119 yards with only four yards per attempt. They beat FAU 41-38 in their opener at home but allowed 474 yards with 364 passing. Iowa St is 2-0 with their 10-7 home win to Iowa. Huge defensive effort by the Cyclones holding the Hawkeyes to 150 yards.
Quarterback Hunter Dekkers is completing 72.5% of his passes with five touchdowns and three picks with 6.9 yards per pass attempt. Tough back to back road opponents for the Bobcats and the poor defense the concern. Play Iowa St -17.5.
Old Dominion vs. Virginia College Football Pick Prediction 9/17/2022
Old Dominion at Virginia—Old Dominion 1-1 following their 39-21 road defeat at East Carolina. Monarchs defense was crushed for 531 yards with 261 rushing and 270 through the air. Monarchs struggled with the run. Quarterback Hayden Wolf hit on 18 of 29 for 275 yards with three touchdowns and a pick.
Virginia fell to 1-1 with the 24-3 road defeat at Illinois. Cavaliers gained only 249 yards in defeat. Senior quarterback Brennan Armstrong a forgettable performance hitting 13 of 32 for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
But Armstrong faces a softer defense and will get help from his run game as the Monarchs are allowing 4.8 yards per rush this season. Play Virginia -10.
California vs. Notre Dame College Football Pick Prediction 9/17/2022
California at Notre Dame—California is 2-0 with the 20-14 home win to UNLV. Golden Bears posted 370 yards of offense in the win but struggled on the ground. They did limit the Rebels to 309 yards and only 103 rushing on 31 carries.
Purdue transfer Jake Plummer hit on 28 of 39 for 278 yards with a touchdown and pick. Past two season at Purdue Plummer a high completion rate. Notre Dame falls to 0-2 with the 26-21 home defeat to Marshall. Fighting Irish offense gains only 351 yards running for only 130 yards on 37 carries.
Quarterback Tyler Buchner is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Drew Pyne gets the start and has seen limited action the past three seasons completing only 20 of 39 passes. Notre Dame run game generating only 3.1 yards per rush attempt.
Golden Bears holding weak competition to 5.4 yards per pass attempt and 4.3 yards per rush. More accurate and experienced quarterback on the Golden Bears. Play California +11.

Kansas St rushing for 6.2 yards a carry on the season and holding opponents to 3.5. Play Kansas St -15.
North Texas vs. UNLV College Football Pick Prediction 9/17/2022
North Texas at UNLV—North Texas 2-1 after their 59-27 home win to FCS Texas Southern. In FBS competition the Mean Green beats UTEP by 18 and lose to SMU at home by 38. Quarterback Austin Aune still battling accuracy issues completing 52.6% of his passes.
Mean Green run game rushing for 242 yards and 5.4 per carry and did run on SMU. UNLV is 1-1 after their 20-14 road defeat at California. Rebels struggled on the ground in defense. Defensively the limited the Golden Bears on the ground but allowed 278 passing yards.
Doug Brumfield hit on 18 of 33 last week for 206 yards with a touchdown and pick. His accuracy was poor in his fist two seasons with the team playing sparingly. Mean Green has a road win this year at UTEP behind 399 yards. Behind the effectiveness of their run game will side on road underdog. Play North Texas +3.5.
Penn St vs. Auburn College Football Pick Prediction 9/17/2022
Penn St at Auburn—Penn St moves to 2-0 with their 46-10 home win to Ohio behind 572 yards. Nittany Lions opened the season on the road in a conference game beating Purdue 35-31 on a late drive. Senior quarterback Sean Clifford completing 60.9% of his throws with five touchdowns and one pick for 7.7 yards per pass attempt.

The run game is generating 6.2 yards a carry and holding opponents to 2.6 per attempt. Georgia Tech moves to 1-1 with the 35-17 home win to FCS Western Carolina but failing to cover the point spread. Yellow Jackets opened on a neutral field to Clemson and lost 41-10 gaining only 237 yards.
They have lost seven straight against FBS teams. Quarterback Jeff Sims completing 58.5% of his passes but averaging only 5 yards per pass attempt. Yellow Jackets offense the concern here trying to match scores with the Rebels. Play Ole Miss -16.
