Louisville vs. UCF College Football Pick Prediction 9/9/2022
Louisville at UCF—Louisville drops to 0-1 with their 31-7 loss at Syracuse. Louisville moved the football for only 334 yards in the loss. Quarterback Malik Cunningham hit on 16 of 22 for 152 yards and two interceptions. A run threat who gained 34 yards on 13 carries.
Louisville surrendered 449 yards to Syracuse with 207 rushing for five yards per carry. Cardinals return seven starters on offense and defense with both lines experienced. UCF is 1-0 with their 56-10 home win to FCS South Carolina St putting up 600 yards of offense.
This is an experienced Golden Knights team with nine starters returning on offense with eight to the defense. Quarterback John Plumlee hit on 20 of 31 for 308 yards and four touchdowns. He did run fifteen times for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Defense showed improvement last season hold teams to 25.4 points and 377 yards per game. Opponents averaged just 6 yards per pass attempt on UCF in 2021.
Golden Knights held the FCS opponent last week to 91 total yards. Back to back road games and a short week for Louisville. Prefer the direction of the Golden Knights are moving. Play UCF -5.5.
Boise St vs. New Mexico College Football Pick Prediction 9/9/2022
Boise St at New Mexico—Boise St fell to 0-1 with their 34-17 road defeat at Oregon St. Broncos offense produced only 311 yards in the loss. Broncos were behind 24-0 at the half. Run game was pedestrian with 126 yards on 31 carries.
Quarterback Hank Bachmeier went 4 of 8 for 30 yards and two picks. Taylen Green was summoned for the benched Bachmeier and hit 19 of 28 for 155 yards and an interception. He rushed 11 times for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
Broncos defense surrendered 470 yards to the Beavers with 292 passing Oregon St averaged 12.2 yards per pass attempt on the Broncos defense. New Mexico is 1-0 after their 41-0 home win to FCS Maine.
Lobos posted 437 yards in the win. New Mexico returned five starters of offense with seven on defense. This was bad offensive team last year averaging 10.8 points, 227 yards and 3.6 yards per play a season ago. The defense gave up 30 points and 380 yards per game.
Boise St was able to shut out New Mexico last year 37-0 at home. New Mexico talent is slim and Boise St hasn’t sunk to bottom feeder level. Quarterback switch will be improvement if Avalos makes the call to his 6 foot 6 inch freshman who should be able to knife through this New Mexico defense. Play Boise St -17.

Syracuse vs. Connecticut Pick Prediction 9/10/2022
Syracuse at Connecticut—Syracuse is 1-0 after their 31-7 home win to Louisville. Orange was able to gain 449 yards in the win in a balanced effort. Quarterback Garrett Shrader hit on 18 of 25 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. They averaged 5 yards per carry on the ground rushing for 207 yards.
New offensive coordinator Robert Anae came over from Virginia where they have a high powered offense. They limited the Cardinals to 334 yards forcing three turnovers.
Connecticut moves to 1-1 with their 28-3 home win to Central Connecticut St. Huskies returned seven starters on offense with eight to the defense for first year head coach Jim Mora Jr.
In their lone game against an FBS opponent the Huskies dropped a 31-20 decision at Utah St covering as a 24 point underdog despite surrendering 542 yards with over 5.5 yards per rush attempt.
Syracuse offensive upgraded with an offensive coordinator change and UCONN appears to be moving in the right direction this early but the defense still in question. Orange put up 31 on Louisville and can do even better in this spot against UCONN. Play Syracuse -22.5.
Kent vs. Oklahoma College Football Pick Prediction 9/10/2022
Kent at Oklahoma—Kent dropped to 0-1 with the 45-20 road defeat at Washington. Golden Flashes posted 340 yards. This is an inexperienced team returning four starters on offense and six to the defense.
First year starting quarterback Collin Schlee hit on 12 of 24 passes for 178 yards with a touchdown and two picks. He did run for 47 yards on eight carries. Defense was lacking last season as the Golden Flashes allowed 38 points and 486 yards per game. They were 124th in getting off the field on third down.
Teams were able to run for 5.1 yards per carry and throw for 275 yards. In their loss to Washington the Golden Flashes allowed 525 yards with 393 passing for 8.9 yards per pass attempt. Oklahoma is 1-0 with their 45-13 home win to UTEP behind 492 yards of offense.
UCF transfer Dillon Gabriel hit on 15 of 23 for 233 yards and two touchdowns. The ground game shined for the Sooners with 259 yards on 38 carries. Oklahoma defense shut down the UTEP ground attack but allowed 288 yards passing but for only 5.6 yards per pass attempt on 51 attempts.
Kent defense the concern as is the inexperienced this season on the offensive side. Play Oklahoma -32.5.
