Miami (OH) Redhawks vs Kentucky Wildcats Predictions 9/3/2022

The Kentucky Wildcats, who finished the season 10-3 overall and 5-3 in SEC play, will want to build on a strong year in Lexington.

The Wildcats were invited to play in the Citrus Bowl, where they defeated Iowa by a final score of 20-17. Will Levis, who threw for more than 2,800 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, will be Kentucky’s quarterback.

Chris Rodriguez, who carried for almost 1,400 yards and nine scores, will be the team’s running back.

WanDale Smith and Josh Ali’s departure means that Kentucky will need to replace their top two receivers. DeMarcus Harris has the experience, while Tayvion Robinson and Javon Baker, who transferred in from Virginia and Alabama, respectively, will aim to make an impression.

The Wildcats return a lot of strong players on defense, including Jacquez Jones, who led Kentucky with 85 tackles last year, and jack linebacker JJ Weaver.

  • The total went OVER in 4 of Kentucky’s last 6 matches.
  • Kentucky is 12-3 SU in their last 15 matches.
  • The Wildcats are 8-1 SU in their last 9 matches at home.

Miami (OH) Redhawks vs #20 Kentucky Wildcats. The NCAAF pick for this game is the Miami (OH) Redhawks. I see the argument for the Wildcats playing at home since they are the superior club on paper and have some potent weapons.

Although Levis has a strong arm, it appears that Kentucky will be a run-first team going forward, which will result in longer drives and more time eaten up by the clock.

This is not what you want when trying to cover large numbers, and I just don’t see the Wildcats as a home run, short-drive, quick score kind of team.

Miami-Ohio has some strong running backs and a reliable quarterback, and Kentucky struggled to defeat weaker opponents like Chattanooga a few times last season. The Miami (OH) Redhawks will win to a predicted score of 37-21.
