Tampa Bay Lightning vs Boston Bruins Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Lightning: Tampa Bay has slipped six full points behind lordia for the lead in the Atlantic Division, yet don’t show show any signs of stress as though they don’t really care — as a two time defending Stanley Cup champion, just getting into the playoffs is good enough before the real run begins.
The team’s first-round with Toronto is all to the advantage of the Volts whereas, a first-place finish means an opponent like… Boston.
Frankly, the Lightning don’t really need this win, although a loos would move Boston into third place and then these two teams would meet.
It’s hard to guess whether any team is already shifting their priorities to “fix” their respective playoff position, and guessing is not a good way to wager.
TBL is presently 2-5 SU and ATS and have dropped two straight. The Total has gone to the Under in six straight because they are not scoring, yet their puck possession stats are through the roof.
Obviously, they just want to i-and-out of each game without any significant injury.
Bruins: In addition, Boston might actually prefer to play Florida, a club they have a winning record against of late, so losing to Tampa Bay and remaining in the fourth isn’t so bad.
Except for center Patrice Bergeron, the Bruins are injury-free — and want to keep it that way.
Numbers show Boston is 5-1 SU/ATS in L6, but two were in overtime.
Prediction: If both sides want to keep their current scenario and play “nice” hockey and get the hell away from the rink, the side is a coin flip. The play os the total to the… UNDER.
Dallas Stars vs Carolina Hurricanes Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Stars: Look at this! Dallas just leaped over the Vegas Golden Knights to grab the eight and final West ern Conference playoff berth. Although at No. 8, they meet Colorado, when you’ve been on the outside looking in all season along, no one is complaining.
The problem is: Vegas plays the majority of its schedule against other (easier) Pacific Division teams, so they will collect more points despite a rash of costly injuries. Thus, the “South Stars” still need to win.
A recent trip to Washington already netted Dallas a win, so this should be no different.
Some number: after getting two skaters back following a road loss in Toronto, the Stars are 3-1 SU/ATS amd 3-3-1 on the Total. The series history yields nothing — they’ve only played once (Dallas 4-1 in November) in more than two season because of the pandemic..
Hurricanes: One lesson not yet learned by Carolina head coach Rod Brind’amour is how to ease down just a bit to remain healthy and ready for the playoffs. However, Rod still thinks like a player, not a coach, so he will probably have his troops ready for the Stars.
Have you noticed how club scoring leader Sebastian Aho doesn’t have a position listed. It’s not center or one of the wings, he is simply listed as a “forward.” Take that, fans of Connor McFDavis!
Prediction: Carolina is No. 1 in the NHL in fewest goals allowed. Dallas likes to play a slow game because they are used to playing on poor ice conditioning Big D. With a slight value lean to the Stars, the better is selection is UNDER.
Detroit Red Wings at NY Islanders Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Red Wings: Detroit is too young to prepare for the golf season and just enough veteran leadership to want to down a conference opponent.
Plus, standing just four points behind the Islanders, with everyone this side of the Klondike selecting only Ittawa to finish below the Qings in the standings. they would love to pick up a club many thought would easily make the postseason.
Unlike pro football or pro basketball, simple motivation — as in college football — can be more important than the numbers in your computer.
Islanders: And since NYI seems on the verge of packing it in on the season… At plus-money, it’s either the RED WINGS or pass.

St. Louis Blues vs Philadelphia Flyers Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Flyers: Have you been listening to nation sports-talk radio of late? For once, they are actually correct: Philadelphia is the worst team in the National League.
Sure, the point totals point at Montreal, but based on current form and present win-ability, the Flyers are no where close.
At least thee are reason to bet in the Canadiens.
The only Glyers recommendation is to take the obvious, which is the OVER because the defensive effort of late is really poor or just too young to manage playing “big boy hockey.”
These are not your parents’ Broad Street Bullies.
Blues: St. Louis needs a win to maintain a 1-point advantage for second place over both Nashville and Minnesota in the Central.
Don’t be afraid of playing Ville Husso in goal.– how is it that Blues scouts and pic out the late-blooming, 24-to-25-year old goalie (like Jordan Binnington) over any other club? Hey, it won them their (finally) first Stanley Cup, so no one is allowed to complain!
Prediction: The Blues need a win; the Glyers are “willing” too give it to them. Thus, a Money Line play on the BLUES at 1.5 goals and near-even money.

Vancouver Canucks vs Minnesota Wild Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Canucks: We warned you against playing the “obvious, home ice” choice in the Colorado Avalanche, as Vancouver played the Avs to a scoreless draw thru two periods, then took control in the third.
Technically, the Canucks could do it again, but two tough teams on back-to-back nights on the road, and from altitude to near sea level, is to much even more a young, improving club like the Can-ucks!”
Wild: Minnesota can win and potentially move into second place, or they loss and fall into wild card consideration — the race is that tight.
They are just as quick as the Vancouver, own home ice and the scheduling advantage, but it might be time for goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to make his Minnesota debut, even though Cam Talbot coming off a 4-0 shutout triumph over the Vegas Golden Knights.
Prediction: The spot is just plain wrong for The Vanc, while the Flower will get everyone’s best effort for the Wild. The money line is too high, the puck line is too dangerous.. play the UNDER.
Also, some books (where legal) offer odds on a goalie posting a shutout. Fleury is at 8-1 to 1901, so place a shilling on the prop, too.
San Jose Sharks vs Edmonton Oilers Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Sharks: We wolf you again! San Jose has Calgary’s number, despite the teams’ placement in the standings. With a pair of third-period goals in a come-from-behind win, the Sharks have won 7-of-8 in Calgary.
However, life hasn’t treated “Josie & The Pussycats” so well in Oil City, and back-to-back road is against this pair is starting to prove as tough as in the 1980s during the hey-day of Alberta NHL hockey
After dropping seven straight, the Sharks on now on a nice little 6-5-2 SU run (6-7 ATS).
Beware, San Jose is 2-3-1 SU (2-4 ATS) in the second game of back-o-backs, with a units total of near even on the 60-miute line..
Oilers: Edmonton had won five straight heading into a showdown loss to Colorado, then came out flat against the Stars in Dallas.
Home cookin’ is in order of this could be a sign that all the hype about Connor mcFavis & Co. is all talk with little substance.
Prediction: There are way too many poor reason on both sides, and I don’t guess… PASS
Nashville Predators vs Vegas Golden Knights Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Predators: Nashville is on course to take 2-of-3 on this 3-gae road in the West Coast.
The Preds have played perhaps the best hockey in the Western Conference over the past 4-6 weeks, with strong goaltending from Juuse Saros, and scoring from three lines, recently moving to No. 9 in NHL tea goal production.
Since Feb. 3, Nashville was 7-2 SU/ATS until falling at L.A. two nights ago in a ack-to-back.
Vegas: Injuries, injuries and an in-grown toenail plague the Golden Knights. Three of their top four D-men are still out and Jack Richel, who finally scored his first VGK goal, is back on the shield.
Prediction: At a price of around -120 because of road ice, the Pick of the Night are the PREDATORS.
Chicago Blackhawks vs Los Angeles Kings Pick Prediction 3/24/2022
Blackhawks: Chicago always gives the Kings trouble, even in L.A.. However, this season is starting to face away for Hawks Hockey, going 2-4-1 SU (2-5 ATS).
There is one steady parlay feature: If you like Chicago, also take the Over (or visa-versa).
Kings: Despite a 6-1 win over Nashville by goalie Johnathan Quick, the club prefers Cal Peterson, who gets the nod here.
Plus, Los Angeles is is 6-3-1 SU (6-4 ATS) and seemingly ended their scoring drought.
However, just like the rain in Southern California, one storm does not mean an end to a drought.
Predictions: With L.A. scoring not consistent and the sides is too chalky to bet, a small play towards the UNDER thanks to Peterson n the net.
