The Virginia Cavaliers advanced to the NIT quarterfinals after defeating the North Texas Mean Green at 71-69 in overtime last Sunday. 


Armaan Franklin made 3 three-pointers in overtime and finished with 17 points.  Jayden Gardner also scored 17 points while Reece Beekman finished with 13 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Kihei Clark made the second of two free throws with 4 seconds left in the game to secure the win.  Clark had 11 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. 


Virginia shot 48.1%, 4% more than North Texas.  They made 9 of 17 three-points and made 10 of 19 free throws.  The Cavaliers were outrebounded, 35-31 but forced the Mean Green to turnover the ball 11 times.
