Now, if you only look at stats from the past 6-8 weeks, then you might have data whiich can can rely on: .However, the best stats are the past 2-3 weeks.
The Islanders are on a 6-2 ATS run (one loss in a shootout), plus they are on a 3-0 SU run against the Flyers.
Philadelphia has Saturday off while the Isles were at home in a win against Dallas, so that’s an edge to the Flyers… but how much?
The Flyers went 1-3 ATS in their most recenthomestand, neither Hart or Jones are receiving much defensive help in front of them in goal, and the ckub is on a 4-13 ATS downhil run.

Dallas at Washington Pick Prediction 3/20/2022
The Stars, because their home rink rates among the poorest ice conditions in the NHL, intentionally play a slow, methodic style, which won;t them nuck as the Capitals prefer end-to-end, high-tewmpo play, especially at home.
Plus Dallas were hemmed in the Islanders forecheck on Satueday, so the Capitals have a current bloeprint to defeat them.
On the flip, the pressure has been taken off Washington after Alex Ovecnhkin finally surpassed Jaromir Jagrfor third place in NHL career scoring.
The Caps have won 6-of-8 (also ATS) but many are 1-goal wins, capped by Friday’s shootout win over Carolina.
Prediction: You’d figure Washingtonscores a ton of empty net goals, but they don’t, so avoi the Puck Line and take… WASHINGTON.
NY Rangers at Carolina Pick Prediction 3/20/2022
This is the Game of the Night in a battle between goalies battling for the Vezina Trophy: the Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin againhst Tampa Bay’s Andrei Vasilevskiy, who won the award in 20118-19.
The hype NYC hype says Shesterkin, but .Vasilevskiy again has the Bolts in contention for the President’s Cup for most points in the regular season.
The last time that goalie won the Hart Trophy as most valuable player was Carey Price of Montreal in 2014-15, but the NYC Media Machine states stats: Shesterkin has better number than Price did.
Still, if seven short years, the game was changed and so have the numbers, all moving to be defensive play and lower scoring. After all, the moved overtime from 5-on-5 to 3-on-3 for a reason.
While the idiot U.S. television announcees talk about the goalies the difference in this game is the best blie-line in the league, led by Victor Hedman.
Prediction: Although Tampa is the obvious choice, the line is too gteat and the Puck Line unreasonable for a low-scoring game. Ah, a low-scoreing game. Take the… UNDER.

Arizona at San Jose Pick Prediction 3/20/2022
Another “ignore the statistics” “ballgame.”
At one time, the Coyotes owns a SU 6-21-2 record. Since then, they are 14-15-2 SU, which is a touch over .500 ATS, but since we’re almost getting plus-money on them (inckuding several at $R2 or better), we’re up moew than 10 units since the calendar turned into 2022. Yes!
Look hwo Arizona ended last season — they were a teamon the rise, but defections plundered the squad this season. It took three months, but since the core of youngsters was mostly in tact, here they come with another late-season run: ask recent clubs like Toronto and Colorado, which all lost to Arizona at home.
San Jose Forward Tomas Hertl just signed an 8-year contract extension, otherwise, the Sharks are not on a Monterrey Bay feeding frenzy, losing four straight snd are 4-15 ATS in L19 — that’s a quarter of the season!.
Prediction: The only other meeting was an 8-7 shootout decision for Arizona inthe final week of Decmber.Yes, both teas can score on each other (check the historical series), but more goals is an advantage for… ARIZONA (at plus-money).
Winnipeg at Chicago Pick Prediction 3/20/2022
This will be the final opportunity for Marc-Andre Fleury to be seen by NHL playoff contenders in desperaqte need for a goaltender for a Stanley Cuplayoff run, which means two things of note to bettors:
1) If “Flower” doesn;t play, he will probably be traded, look to wager on Minneosta on the puck line.
2) Should the 2-time Stanley Cup champion be in the net, the better bet is to take the Under since everyone on the Blackhawks will be working extra hard to make Fleury look good, even sacrificing offense to protect theHawks side of the ice.
Obviously, the line move will be on near even or on Winnipeg, especially the rate that short home favorites are losingg. However,we would prepfer the higher scoreing game, but that kind of result will not be guaranteed unless Fleury is out.
Where will Marc-Andre go? His options are limited on two fronts:
1) His salary is go high, teams like the Washington Capitals can not afford him.
2) Written into his contract are a limjited number of teams where he is willing to be trade to, and that list is not public.
As for the lineups, Chicago D Connor Murphy is out on concussion protocol .
Chicago 6-12 ATS in L18, but five of the past six losses were by one goal, so a Puck Line play is an option.
The season series is even at 1-1.
The Jets have been a disappointment this season, but at least they beat the teams they should beat, then the optimism fades when they play someone good, like when Boston popped them earlier in the week.
Prediction: The only reason the Blackhawks are not in last place is because Arizona was relocated to the Central Division. Winnipeg plays one of those “easy” teams, so the selection is… Jets (small play).
Buffalo at Vancouver Pick Prediction 3/20/2022
On Saturday in the final game of a Hockey Nught in Canada triple-header, Vancouver coach Bruce Boudreau was badly out-coached by Calgary’s Daryl Sutter, who made one mild line change to turnaround the Glames.
Shutout in two of their previous three games, the Flames punched the Canucks in the face for a 4-0 first-period lead. And when “The Vanc” came out strong in the second period, it was Calagry which scored on its first shot of the period some seven minutes in.
Vancouver never recovered.
Despite being ther second game in two nights, Vancouver is playing better but so is Buffalo.
Early in the season, the Sabres won 5-3 in Game No. 3 of the campaign. Currently they have won 3-of-4, inclding an overtime win in Calgary.
As mentioned in my earlier columns for years, hockey is more like college footbnall where thre emotonal factor can out-weight anything you sit out of your compuyter.
Prediction: Buffalo is on an emotional high; Vancouver isn’t… Buffalo at plus-money).
