The Vanderbilt Commodores just hit one game above the .500 mark and is on a 2-1 run in the SEC tournament with a recent 6-point loss to 3rd ranked Kentucky.

The Commodores eliminated 14th ranked Georgia (86-51) and 6th ranked Alabama in the first two games of the conference tournament including Mississippi (63-61) in the final match of the regular season. Vanderbilt is in 11th place at 7-11 in the SEC with an overall standing at 17-16 and a home record of 5-7.

In their loss to the Wildcats, the Commodores chased a 33-37 lead at the break and never got back from there after scoring 38-40 in the final half on the way to their 71-77 defeat last Friday.

Guard Jordan Wright led the offense for Vanderbilt with 27 points and 6 rebounds while Guard Scottie Pippen Jr. led in assists with 7 and added 10 points for the Commodores.

Vanderbilt has an average of 70.4 ppg in shooting at 42.4% from the floor, 34.1% from beyond the arc, and 69.3% from the foul line with only two players on double-digit scoring led by Guard Scottie Pippen Jr. at 20.2 ppg.

Pippen also led in assists with 4.3 per outing and in steals at 1.9 SPG while Guard Jordan Wright led in rebounding with an average of 6.5 boards per game.
