In the Big Ten Tournament, the Purdue Boilermakers are now the highest seed left. It appeared at the start of their quarterfinal match against Penn State that the Boilermakers would be joining the top two teams on the road back to Bloomington.

Purdue, on the other hand, shook off the rust and beat the Nittany Lions to advance to the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. The Boilermakers, who trailed for much of the first half, came alive in the second half to take a 35-31 advantage into halftime.
