Houston vs. Auburn—Houston concluded a strong regular season finishing at 11-2. They carried an eleven game win streak until their loss to playoff bound Cincinnati 35-20.
Cougars quarterback Clayton Tune had a good junior campaign completing 68.5% of his throws for 8.6 yards per pass attempt and limited his mistakes. It was the defense that was strong this season for Houston. They still trend well as in their past three games allowing 320 yards, 4.5 yards per rush along with 5.7 yards per pass attempt.
Auburn concluded their season losing four straight after blowing a late lead in a 24-22 overtime loss to rival Alabama at home. Tigers fired their offensive coordinator and starting quarterback Bo Nix has his the transfer portal. Auburn has been held to 17 or fewer regulation points in three of their past four games. They now look to backup quarterback TJ Finley who has completed 56% of his throws on the season for 6.6 yards per pass attempt.
Auburn running back Tank Bigsby averaged 4 yards a carry against ranked opponents. Past three games Tigers defense surrendering 394 yards with 296 passing for 7.2 yards per pass attempt. Play Houston +2.
Air Force vs. Louisville College Football Pick Prediction 12/28/2021
Air Force vs. Louisville—Air Force concluded their regular season with a 9-3 mark finishing winning and covering their final three games behind strong offensive performance. They are led by junior quarterback Haaziq Daniels who has been listed as probable.
Daniels averaged 9.9 yards per pass attempt and is a weapon on the ground for the Falcons triple option offense. Past three games Air Force averaged 506 yards a game with 458 rushing for 6.2 yards per rush. While on defense the Falcons surrendering 297 yards with 2.7 per rush. Louisville finished with a 6-6 mark after getting blown out at home to Kentucky 52-21.
Cardinals run defense was exploited down the stretch as in their past three games surrendering 227 yards with 5.8 yards per run. Falcons have covered seven of nine. There is some turmoil with the Louisville program with the exit of their athletic director so the future is in question for the coaching staff.
Cardinals quarterback Malik Cunningham is asked to run and pass. Could be difficult against an Air Force defense that can defend him. Louisville did not earn any victories against a winning team. Play Air Force +1.5.
Mississippi St vs. Texas Tech College Football Pick Prediction 12/28/2021
Mississippi St vs. Texas Tech—Red Raiders a disappointing 6-6 had fired their head coach in season. Texas Tech had some ugly defensive performances surrendering 70 to Texas and 52 to both Oklahoma as well as TCU. This is a defense that trended poorly in their past three games by allowing 437 yards with 283 passing for 7.4 yards per pass attempt.
Mississippi St head coach Mike Leach had a stop at Texas Tech and was controversially fired and claims he is owed $2 million. Bulldogs had covered five straight until a loss to a good Ole Miss team.
Mississippi St offense trended well down the stretch putting up 502 yards with 414 passing, 73.3% completion rate and 7.7 yards per pass attempt. This came from the arm of Will Rogers who put in a good season. Bulldogs posted double digit win on Kentucky and beat Auburn by nine. They also went on the road and beat Texas A&M.
Team has covered five of six. Red Raiders starting quarterback Henry Colombi will not play and it will be redshirt freshman Donovan Smith under center. Play Mississippi St -10.

UCLA vs. NC State College Football Pick Prediction 12/28/2021
UCLA vs. NC State—UCLA was an experienced football coming into the season and the Bruins offense shined for head coach Chip Kelly. They played well down the stretch as in their past three games averaging 519 yards, 6.1 yards per rush along with 256 passing for 10 yards per pass attempt totaling 49.3 points per game.
As much as the offense shined the defense was the disappointment and why the Bruins are here instead of Pasadena or even a playoff appearance. Pass defense was poor for UCLA as the team surrendered 260 yards per game with 7 yards per pass attempt. Fresno St, Arizona St and Utah each scored over 40 points on the Bruins with USC totaling 33 and Oregon 34.
NC State offense shined down the stretch as well. In their final three games the Wolfpack averaged 413 yards a game with 319 passing for 8.4 yards per pass attempt. Quarterback Devin Leary averaged 8 yards per pass attempt and finished with 35 touchdowns and five picks. Bruins senior quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson averaged 8.5 yards per pass attempt and finished with 21 touchdowns and six picks. Play UCLA and NC State over 60.
West Virginia vs. Minnesota College Football Pick Prediction 12/28/2021
West Virginia vs. Minnesota—Golden Gophers finished with two straight victories to finish at 8-4 on the year winning at a down Indiana team and beating Wisconsin at home. Minnesota was decimated with injuries to their running back position. Senior quarterback Tanner Morgan had another down season. He completed only 59.7% of his passes throwing for 10 touchdowns and 8 pick. He lacks consistency.
Golden Gophers had bad losses at home to Bowling Green and Illinois scoring an average of eight points in those defeats. The defense is a strong suit for Minnesota as it is for West Virginia who plays in the better offensive conference in the Big 12.
Past three games Mountaineers averaged 413 yards with 248 passing and 65% completion rate. Senior quarterback Jarret Doege threw for 290 yards on Texas, 268 on Kansas St and 370 on Iowa St in recent games. Past three games Mountaineers averaging 4.2 yards per carry with Minnesota at 3.5.
