Memphis is 16-8 overall and 11-4 conference standing in the AAC after their disqualification in the March Madness NCAA Tournament. Guard Boogie Ellis led his team with 27 points while Forward DeAndre Williams pitched in 16 points and distributed 3 assists for the Tigers. Sixth-man D.J. Jeffries added 10 points while Center Moussa Cisse pulled down 7 rebounds and chipped in 8 points in the loss.   

The Tigers shut down UCF in the quarter-finals before a 2-point loss to Houston in the AAC Tournament semi-final round. Forward Landers Nolley II led Memphis with an average of 12.6 PPG while Forward DeAndre Williams chipped in 11.2 PPG, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per contest. Center Moussa Cisse pulled down an average of 6.6 RPG while Alex Lomax distributed an average of 4.4 assists per match. The Memphis Tigers scored an average of 72.1 PPG in shooting for 44.1% from the field and 35.5% from downtown. Memphis averaged 62.3 PPG on 38.4% overall shooting and 26.8% from the long-range.
