Eastern Michigan vs. Ball St Pick Prediction 11/11/2020
Eastern Michigan at Ball St—College football pick is Eastern Michigan Eagles +9. Never comfortable giving over three points to Eastern Michigan. This started about four years ago when they made a bowl game and they have gone bowling in three of their past four years. They were able to get under the number and cover in a four point loss to a good Kent St in their opener. Eagles defense was good in the red zone and third down against the Golden Flashes. Junior quarterback Preson Hutchison did throw for 241 yards with 6.9 yards per rush. He did see action last year and threw for over 350 yards against Western Michigan. Ball St fell in the opener to Miami Ohio 38-31. Cardinals were a 5-7 team that struggled on defense last year giving up 31 points per game with 425 yards. Last week the Cardinals allowed 28 second half points in a 38-31 defeat at Miami Ohio surrendering 309 yards passing with 9.7 yards per pass attempt. Play Eastern Michigan +9.
Central Michigan vs. Northern Illinois Pick Prediction 11/11/2020
Central Michigan at Northern Illinois—College football free pick is Central Michigan Chippewas -7.5. Northern Illinois is a program that has digressed following their coaching change last year. The team finished 5-7 and saw both sides of the football suffer. Once a stout defense the Huskies surrendered 30 points and 402 yards per game. In their opener the Huskies were pounded at home to Buffalo 49-30 allowing 179 yards rushing with 5.4 yards per attempt. Head coach Jim Mcelwain has improved this Central Michigan team taking them from a one win team in 2018 to eight wins and a bowl game last season. They faced a tough opponent in the opener and got past a good Ohio team 30-27 behind 427 yards with 184 on the ground. Defensively they held the Bobcats to 345 yards and only 3.1 yards per rush. Huskies defenders surrendered 9.9 yards per pass attempt to the Bulls last year so those defensive issues still are evident. Play Central Michigan -7.5.
Toledo vs. Western Michigan Pick Prediction 11/11/2020
Toledo at Western Michigan—Free pick is Toledo Rockies +2.5. Toledo returns both of their star running backs from a season ago. Western Michigan was a team last season that struggled stopping the run surrendering 4.9 yards per rush attempt with 226 yards. Rockets have experience at quarterback in senior Eli Peters who threw four touchdown passes and no picks in their win against Bowling Green. Rockets in their win against the Broncos last season gained 475 yards with 275 rushing for 5.2 per rush attempt. Broncos did lose half their starters from last season. Play Toledo +2.5.
USC vs. Arizona Pick Prediction 11/14/2020
USC vs. Arizona—College football pick is USC Trojans and Arizona Wildcats to play over the total of 67 points. Trojans were able to move the football for 556 yards on the Arizona St defense. Kedon Slovis did complete 73% of his throws for 381 yards. Team ran for 175 yards. Trojans are battling an Arizona team that played horrible defense for head coach Kevin Sumlin last season. They allowed 35.3 points and 474 yards per game. Wildcats are experienced on offense returning seven starters. Quarterback Grant Gunnell is a big guy and in action last season was able to complete 65.2% of his passes. Wildcats were not a good tackling team so expect big plays from USC and for the Wildcats to tally some points of their own. Play USC and Arizona over 67 points.
Colorado vs. Stanford Pick Prediction 11/14/2020
Colorado at Stanford—College football free pick is Stanford Cardinal and Colorado Buffaloes to play over the total of 54.5 points. Buffaloes in their opening win against UCLA were able to move the football for 525 yards. Defense is a concern surrendering 42 points to the Bruins with 7 yards per rush attempt and 303 through the air. Stanford in their loss to Oregon was able to run the football for 197 yards gaining 6.4 per carry. Cardinal defense had trouble containing Oregon surrendering 35 points with 496 yards and 6.7 per rush. Buffaloes ran 92 plays last week and Stanford 57. But because the Cardinal is facing a weaker defense, they should have better offensive production and convert more third downs than the 30% against the Ducks. Colorado senior quarterback Sam Noyer was able to average 8.3 yards per pass attempt and complete 64.3% of his throws in the opener. There will be enough offense from both sides here attacking weak defenses. Play Stanford and Colorado over 54.5.

Notre Dame at Boston College—Free pick is Boston College Eagles +14. Have to be encouraged that the Eagles were able to produce 18 points on Clemson in their six point loss. They have covered six of eight. Notre Dame transfer at quarterback for Boston College Phil Jurkovec is completing 68% of his throws at home with eight touchdowns and a pick. Fighting Irish has failed to cover five of six as a double digit favorite. Lone exception was against a bad South Florida team. Could be a letdown for Notre Dame following their emotional win to Clemson. BC has been good in run defending. Play Boston College +14.
Southern Miss vs. Western Kentucky Pick Prediction 11/14/2020
Southern Miss at Western Kentucky—College football pick is Southern Miss and Western Kentucky to play under the total of 49 points. Hilltoppers have been a poor offensive team this season pushing across only 273 yards 15.3 points per game. Against bad defensive teams like Middle Tennessee St they were held to 20 points and 13 to FCS school Chattanooga. Hilltoppers have defended well against Conference USA. Southern Miss in their last FBS game were held to six points against Rice with 269 yards. They could only score 24 on FCS North Alabama last week. Rice at Louisiana Tech—College football free pick is Louisiana Tech Bulldogs -1. Louisiana Tech returns home where they have won three of four after their upset win against UAB last week. This is a young team that is beginning to show improvement. Rice a win to a down Southern Miss team and a loss in overtime to a down Middle Tennessee St. Concern for the Owls has been the play defensively against the pass where they surrender 251 yards, 73.2% completion rate and 9 yards per pass attempt. That cost them big in their loss to Middle Tennessee St. Respect Bulldogs win two weeks ago to UAB and now come off the bye. They had 333 passing yards and can expose that poor play by Rice in pass defense. Play Louisiana Tech -1.
Louisville vs. Virginia Pick Prediction 11/14/2020
Louisville at Virginia—College football pick is Virginia Cavaliers -3. Louisville has struggled on the road losing all three games. Struggles have come on the offensive end where they average only 309 yards per game. Quarterback Malik Cunningham in his road games is completing 60.3% of his throws with four touchdowns and three picks. Cunningham on the highway just 6.4 yards per pass attempt. Both teams are coming off byes. Virginia comes off their best point total in a 44-41 home win to North Carolina. Cavaliers have shown ability moving the football at home with 424 yards a game. In two of their three ACC home games the team has scored 38 points or greater. Cardinals defense has had bad showings allowing 42 in a home loss two weeks ago to Virginia Tech, 46 at Georgia Tech and 47 home to Miami. Play Virginia -3.
