Night Moves MLB and WNBA Betting Preview for Tuesday, July 28, 2026

Tuesday’s Night Moves card brings a full Major League Baseball schedule, a Cleveland-Cincinnati doubleheader and the return of WNBA action following the league’s midseason break. Ramon Scott worked through every matchup while the Night Moves chat contributed sides, totals, first-five plays and player-prop combinations throughout the show.

The baseball card is built heavily around starting-pitcher form, recent offensive performance, travel situations and bullpen reliability. The WNBA portion takes a different shape, with several high totals, large point spreads and teams carrying sharply contrasting against-the-spread profiles into the second half of the schedule.

All odds listed below reflect the uploaded July 28 market reports available around the time of the show. Prices can move throughout the day, particularly in games involving uncertain starters, doubleheaders and weather concerns.

Night Moves Consensus Report

Strongest Ramon and Chat Agreement

Arizona Diamondbacks: Ramon Scott, Anthony Mays and Farley supported Arizona, while Mr. Westers preferred Pittsburgh.

Boston Red Sox: Ramon selected Boston in the first five innings, while Westup and Farley supported Boston on the full-game run line. Timmy Two-Shoes also backed Boston in first-five and full-game markets.

Los Angeles Dodgers: Ramon backed the Dodgers in the first five innings. Farley preferred the Dodgers run line, while Westup supported the money line, team total and several correlated player props.

Connecticut Sun: Ramon took the points with Connecticut, and Timmy Two-Shoes also leaned toward the Sun as an underdog.

Most Divided Matchups

Texas at Tampa Bay: Ramon laid the run line with Tampa Bay. Anthony Mays supported the Rays and the over, while Farley and Timmy Two-Shoes preferred Texas-related positions.

Baltimore at Detroit: Ramon selected the under. The chat divided between Baltimore and Detroit, although multiple participants agreed Detroit’s offense had become difficult to trust.

Toronto at Washington: Ramon backed Toronto. Anthony Mays and Farley agreed, while Mr. Westers preferred Washington on the run line.

Seattle at Los Angeles: Ramon selected the Dodgers in the first five. Most of the chat leaned toward Los Angeles, but Mr. Westers identified Seattle as a possible underdog opportunity.

Ramon Scott’s KBO Selections

Before turning to the North American card, Ramon listed three KBO positions for the overnight schedule.

Doosan Bears vs. SSG Landers Under 9 Runs
KT Wiz -1.5 vs. NC Dinos
Lotte Giants +1.5 vs. Hanwha Eagles

Cleveland Guardians at Cincinnati Reds — Game 1

Money LineCleveland +141 / Cincinnati -156
Run LineCleveland +1.5 (-142)
Total9 Runs
Slade Cecconi — Cleveland

4-7 record with an ERA around 4.60 entering the matchup.

Chase Burns — Cincinnati

12-1 record with a 2.42 ERA and a 2.81 ERA across his previous three starts.

Cleveland entered the doubleheader on a five-game losing streak and had recently been shut out while producing only one hit in 28 at-bats. The Guardians had also struggled badly against right-handed pitching, making Burns a difficult starter to oppose on pure form.

The betting case for Cleveland came through the run-line market rather than the money line. The Guardians entered as one of baseball’s strongest run-line underdogs at 30-17 when receiving 1.5 runs, while Cincinnati was only 16-15 when laying the run line.

The rainout and day-night doubleheader also created the possibility of tighter bullpen management. Cincinnati had lost 10 of its previous 13 home games, while both teams carried recent under trends into the series.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Cleveland Guardians +1.5

Night Moves Chat

Farley selected the under. Anthony Mays supported Cleveland, while Timmy Two-Shoes preferred the first-five under. Mr. Westers considered the Guardians but remained cautious.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Pittsburgh Pirates

Money LineArizona +105 / Pittsburgh -116
Run LineArizona +1.5 (-195)
Total9 Runs
Brandon Pfaadt — Arizona

5-1 record with a 4.43 ERA. Arizona was 7-1 in his starts.

Bubba Chandler — Pittsburgh

3-8 record, 4.47 ERA and 1.39 WHIP.

Pittsburgh captured the series opener with a walk-off victory, but Ramon returned to Arizona behind Pfaadt’s improved rotation form. The right-hander had allowed two earned runs or fewer in five consecutive starts since rejoining the rotation and completed at least five innings in every appearance during that stretch.

Chandler continued to display premium raw talent, but a walk rate near 13 percent remained a significant problem. He issued six walks when he faced Arizona earlier in the season, creating traffic even when his pure stuff allowed him to escape with only two earned runs.

The matchup also carried postseason significance, with Arizona and Pittsburgh competing near the National League’s final wild-card position. Pittsburgh had played well at home, but Arizona appeared to hold the more trustworthy starting-pitcher profile and a possible bullpen advantage.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks Money Line

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays and Farley agreed with Arizona. Timmy Two-Shoes selected the over, while Mr. Westers backed Pittsburgh and questioned whether Pfaadt’s recent improvement could be trusted over the longer term.

Philadelphia Phillies at Miami Marlins

Money LinePhiladelphia +100 / Miami -110
Run LinePhiladelphia +1.5 (-210)
Total8 Runs
Aaron Nola — Philadelphia

3-8 record with an ERA near 5.80.

Sandy Alcantara — Miami

10-6 record with an ERA near 4.00.

Miami ended a 12-game losing streak in dramatic fashion during the series opener, scoring three runs in the ninth inning to defeat Philadelphia. That result came as the Phillies continued a difficult stretch in which they had lost five of six and fallen to 3-7 since the All-Star break.

Nola entered off a poor outing against the Dodgers in which he allowed seven hits and five earned runs over five innings. However, he had already handled Miami successfully earlier in the season, throwing six scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Alcantara had surrendered five earned runs in his previous start against Houston but had been much more reliable before that performance. Both clubs carried strong recent under trends, and Philadelphia had used five bullpen arms the previous night.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Under 8 Runs

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays and Farley supported Philadelphia. Anthony also mentioned the over, while Timmy Two-Shoes preferred the first-five under behind the two veteran starters.

Texas Rangers at Tampa Bay Rays

Money LineTexas +148 / Tampa Bay -164
Run LineTampa Bay -1.5 (+119)
Total8 Runs
Cal Quantrill — Texas

3-3 record with recent regression after moving into the rotation.

Griffin Jax — Tampa Bay

6-7 record, 3.89 ERA and 1.22 WHIP.

Texas arrived after winning three of four against Seattle, but the Rangers had to make a quick turnaround from a home game before traveling to Tampa Bay. The Rays were returning home after holding Cleveland to only three runs across three games.

Quantrill had initially performed well out of the bullpen but showed signs of hitting a wall after joining the rotation. He allowed six earned runs against Atlanta and lasted only three innings against Toronto, leaving him with an ERA around 5.40 over his previous three starts.

Tampa Bay entered 38-15 at home and 39-28 as a run-line favorite. The Rays also owned a top-five offense against right-handed pitching, creating a favorable situation against a starter whose recent command and workload had deteriorated.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Tampa Bay Rays -1.5

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays selected Tampa Bay and also liked the over. Farley backed the Texas money line, while Timmy Two-Shoes supported Texas in a first-five run-line position. Mr. Westers highlighted the Rangers’ difficult travel turnaround but remained unwilling to lay real money with Tampa Bay.

Baltimore Orioles at Detroit Tigers

Money LineBaltimore +120 / Detroit -132
Run LineBaltimore +1.5 (-170)
Total9 Runs
Dean Kremer — Baltimore

1-3 record with a 5.06 ERA.

Troy Melton — Detroit

5-1 record with a 1.95 ERA.

Baltimore’s offense broke through for eight runs in the opener, supported by four hits from Jackson Holliday and three Orioles home runs. Detroit still generated five runs and 10 hits but entered the second game on a three-game losing streak.

Kremer had allowed four earned runs in three consecutive starts against strong opponents. Melton carried one of baseball’s best recent run-prevention profiles, although his walk rate had climbed to 13.5 percent across his previous three outings.

The total received support from a long list of trends. Baltimore had gone under in 10 of 14 and six of eight on the road. Detroit had stayed under in 12 of 17 and eight of 11 at home, while seven of the previous eight meetings had finished below the total.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Under 9 Runs

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays and Farley supported Detroit at different points, while Mr. Westers and Timmy Two-Shoes leaned toward Baltimore. Timmy also played Baltimore in the first five. Anthony later expressed interest in the under.

Toronto Blue Jays at Washington Nationals

Money LineToronto +125 / Washington -138
Run LineToronto +1.5 (-168)
Total8.5 Runs
Shane Bieber — Toronto

2-1 record with an ERA around 4.70 and improving recent form.

Cade Cavalli — Washington

7-4 record with a 3.57 ERA.

Toronto won the series opener 3-2 and entered having captured three of five. Washington continued to struggle at home, where it carried a 22-33 record despite remaining close enough to the playoff race to approach the deadline aggressively.

Bieber appeared to be regaining his normal form after an uneven return. He recorded a 1.53 ERA and 0.96 WHIP across his previous three starts while producing his familiar combination of command and ground balls.

Cavalli had allowed three earned runs or fewer in five consecutive starts and two or fewer in four of those outings. The concern for Washington was its 31-40 record against right-handed starters and its continued inability to turn home opportunities into wins.

Weather was a meaningful risk, with rain projected during the game and the possibility of a delay or postponement.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Toronto Blue Jays Money Line

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays and Farley agreed with Toronto. Mr. Westers backed Washington on the run line, while Timmy Two-Shoes warned bettors to account for the weather.

Atlanta Braves at New York Mets

Money LineAtlanta -162 / New York +147
Run LineAtlanta -1.5 (+108)
Total7.5 Runs
Chris Sale — Atlanta

11-6 record with an ERA around 2.19.

Christian Scott — New York

3.12 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.

New York entered after an explosive 14-3 victory in which Francisco Lindor produced two home runs, a triple and six RBIs. The Mets had also received news that Juan Soto expected to return before the end of the season, while Ronald Acuña Jr. had rejoined Atlanta’s lineup.

Sale brought the strongest starting-pitcher profile in the matchup, but Scott had also performed well. With two quality arms and wet weather expected in New York, the total offered more appeal than laying an inflated road price.

New York had gone under in eight of 12, while Atlanta had stayed under in five of seven road games. The weather report added a meaningful possibility that the game could be delayed or postponed.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Under 7.5 Runs

Night Moves Chat

Timmy Two-Shoes selected the first-five under. Farley preferred the full-game over, while Anthony Mays backed Atlanta on the run line.

Cleveland Guardians at Cincinnati Reds — Game 2

Money LineCleveland -125 / Cincinnati +113
Run LineCincinnati +1.5 (-135)
Total9 Runs
Gavin Williams — Cleveland

Elite recent form with 11 strikeouts in three consecutive starts and a WHIP near 0.65 over that stretch.

Brady Singer — Cincinnati

5-9 record with a 4.52 ERA.

Both offenses entered near the bottom of the league in several recent categories. Cincinnati had allowed six consecutive opposing right-handed starters to work at least six innings, with those pitchers surrendering only 1.3 earned runs per game during that stretch.

Williams was the strongest individual component in the matchup. His strikeout surge and dominant recent WHIP created a clear ceiling for Cincinnati’s offense, while Cleveland’s own scoring problems kept Ramon away from laying a road price.

Because this was the second game of a doubleheader, starting-pitcher confirmation and bullpen availability were important. Any change involving Singer or Burns could materially alter the total.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Under 9 Runs

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays predicted a Cleveland sweep but also mentioned the possibility of an over if the first game became high scoring. Farley preferred Cincinnati.

New York Yankees at Chicago White Sox

Money LineNew York -127 / Chicago +115
Run LineNew York -1.5 (+128)
Total8 Runs
Gerrit Cole — New York

3-5 record with an ERA around 3.90. Yankees games were 2-9 to the under in his starts.

Anthony Kay — Chicago

7-4 record with a 4.21 ERA. Chicago was 11-8 in his starts.

New York had won seven of eight road games, four of five overall and six of seven against Chicago. The Yankees also entered with one of baseball’s better bullpens, giving them an important late-game advantage.

Cole’s starts had consistently trended under, while the Yankees had stayed below the total in nine of 13 overall. Chicago had produced more overs, creating a clash of profiles, but the starting-pitcher market still favored a lower-scoring result.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Under 8 Runs

Night Moves Chat

Farley selected the over. Anthony Mays initially mentioned the White Sox money line before leaning back toward New York. Timmy Two-Shoes backed Chicago in the first five, while Westup proposed a Yankees and Gerrit Cole strikeout parlay.

Kansas City Royals at Minnesota Twins

Money LineKansas City +140 / Minnesota -155
Run LineKansas City +1.5 (-148)
Total9 Runs
Seth Lugo — Kansas City

4-6 record with a 4.36 ERA.

Taj Bradley — Minnesota

9-4 record, 3.69 ERA and 1.22 WHIP.

Kansas City had won five of seven overall and five of the previous seven meetings with Minnesota, but the Royals remained only 19-35 on the road. Minnesota entered after scoring 11 runs in its previous game.

Lugo had surrendered at least two earned runs in five of six starts, although he completed at least six innings in his previous two. Bradley recorded six or more strikeouts in five of six and had generally pitched well outside one difficult start against the Cubs.

The total received additional support from long-term series results. Kansas City had gone under in five of seven, Minnesota had stayed under in 10 of 14, and 14 of the previous 20 meetings had finished below the number.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Under 9 Runs

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays selected Kansas City. Farley preferred Minnesota in the first five, while Westup looked toward Bradley’s strikeout market.

Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals

Money LineChicago -106 / St. Louis -104
Run LineChicago -1.5 (+153)
Total9 Runs
Colin Rea — Chicago

ERA near 4.85 with three or more earned runs allowed in three consecutive starts.

Michael McGreevy — St. Louis

Expected starter after uncertainty involving Hunter Dobbins.

Chicago won the opener 7-3 and entered having won five of six road games and eight of 12 overall. St. Louis had dropped eight of 10 and five of six at home, creating concern that the Cardinals were losing ground in the wild-card race.

Rea’s recent form was not dominant, but the matchup offered support against a Cardinals lineup that had struggled. The uncertainty surrounding St. Louis’ starter also worked against the home side, particularly if McGreevy was required to pitch on altered rest.

Ramon avoided another under and instead backed the more stable club at a near pick’em price.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Chicago Cubs Money Line

Night Moves Chat

Anthony Mays supported St. Louis. Farley and Westup liked the over, while Westup also mentioned Rea over 3.5 strikeouts. Timmy Two-Shoes preferred the under.

Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels

Money LineHouston -107 / Los Angeles -103
Run LineHouston +1.5 (-210)
Total8.5 Runs
Peter Lambert — Houston

Reliable recent form with only four earned runs allowed across four starts.

Reid Detmers — Los Angeles

Talented left-hander facing continued late-game bullpen risk.

Houston rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the ninth inning of the opener as the Angels committed costly mistakes and again failed to protect a lead. The victory moved Houston back into a tie for second place in the American League West.

Lambert had supplied consistent innings and had also pitched well away from home. Detmers remained capable of matching him early, but the full-game handicap favored Houston because of the large difference in bullpen dependability and current divisional urgency.

The Astros entered 6-1 over their previous seven, while the Angels had lost four of five.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Houston Astros Money Line

Night Moves Chat

Farley and Westup supported Houston. Mr. Westers preferred the Angels, while Timmy Two-Shoes backed Houston and also mentioned the first-five under.

Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres

Money LineColorado +162 / San Diego -180
Run LineColorado +1.5 (-133)
Total8 Runs
Michael Lorenzen — Colorado

Coming off an outing with six earned runs and two home runs allowed.

Michael King — San Diego

Only three earned runs allowed across his previous three starts.

San Diego had won three straight and dominated the recent series history, including six consecutive victories over Colorado. The Padres also entered with a more productive offense and a major starting-pitcher advantage.

The hesitation came from San Diego’s repeated tendency to play close games against inferior competition. Colorado had remained more competitive in the run-line market than its straight-up record suggested, making the additional 1.5 runs more attractive than backing the Padres at a heavy price.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Colorado Rockies +1.5

Night Moves Chat

Farley selected San Diego on the run line. Westup preferred a Padres money-line and Michael King strikeout combination. Timmy Two-Shoes agreed with Ramon and supported Colorado.

Boston Red Sox at Oakland Athletics

Money LineBoston -140 / Oakland +127
Run LineBoston -1.5 (+112)
Total9.5 Runs
Boston Starter

Entered with strong recent run prevention and support from one of baseball’s hottest teams.

Caden Dana or Oakland Listed Starter

Oakland’s projected starter carried an ERA above 4.00 with several recent high-run outings.

Boston won the opener 4-2 behind a grand slam from Ceddanne Rafaela. The Red Sox entered the second game having won 17 of 19 overall and 10 consecutive road games.

Oakland had lost six of seven at home and 16 of 19 overall while continuing to deal with lineup injuries. Boston had scored at least six runs in six of eight before being held to four in the opener.

Ramon shortened the wager to the first five innings to concentrate the bet on the starting-pitcher and offensive matchup while avoiding unnecessary late-game exposure.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Boston Red Sox First Five -0.5

Night Moves Chat

Westup and Farley backed Boston on the run line. Timmy Two-Shoes supported Boston in both the first five and full game and described the Athletics as heavily diminished by injuries.

Milwaukee Brewers at San Francisco Giants

Money LineMilwaukee -136 / San Francisco +123
Run LineMilwaukee -1.5 (+128)
Total7.5 Runs
Logan Henderson — Milwaukee

4-1 record with strong strikeout and walk numbers over his previous three starts.

Landen Roupp — San Francisco

7-8 record with improving recent form.

San Francisco won the opener 3-0 behind six shutout innings from Tyler Mahle. Milwaukee remained the National League Central leader but failed to produce against the Giants’ pitching staff.

Henderson had worked at least five innings in every start during the month and carried a strikeout rate near 29 percent with a walk rate below two percent over his previous three appearances.

Roupp had also improved, while San Francisco’s offense remained near the bottom of several important categories. Ramon avoided choosing a side and instead concentrated on the strongest early-game matchup.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: First Five Innings Under

Night Moves Chat

Westup backed Milwaukee in the first five. Anthony Mays and Farley supported the Brewers money line. Timmy Two-Shoes expressed confidence in Roupp and included Milwaukee in a parlay with Boston.

Seattle Mariners at Los Angeles Dodgers

Money LineSeattle +167 / Los Angeles -185
Run LineLos Angeles -1.5 (+113)
Total9.5 Runs
Luis Castillo — Seattle

3-9 record with a 4.84 ERA and two or more earned runs allowed in five of six starts.

Justin Wrobleski — Los Angeles

Los Angeles was 12-4 in his starts. He recorded at least seven strikeouts in three consecutive outings.

Seattle had lost three of four against Texas and entered as an underdog for only the 15th time all season. The Mariners were 4-10 when priced as an underdog.

Wrobleski had become another productive piece of the Dodgers’ pitching operation, showing improved strikeout ability and a walk rate below four percent across his previous three starts.

Los Angeles had won 10 consecutive home games against Seattle and 10 straight meetings overall. Ramon again shortened the market to the first five, backing the stronger starter and lineup without assuming the Dodgers’ bullpen would protect a full-game run line.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers First Five -0.5

Night Moves Chat

Farley backed the Dodgers run line. Westup selected the Dodgers money line, the Dodgers team total over, Wrobleski over five strikeouts, Freddie Freeman to record a hit and Tommy Edman to record a hit. Anthony Mays supported Seattle +1.5, while Mr. Westers also identified the Mariners as a possible value underdog.

WNBA Betting Preview

The WNBA returned with five games following the midseason break. Several matchups featured large spreads and unusually high totals, particularly in games involving Minnesota, Indiana and Las Vegas.

Ramon’s card leaned heavily toward overs, with four of the five WNBA selections involving either an over or an underdog receiving points.

Connecticut Sun at Washington Mystics

Money LineConnecticut +194 / Washington -245
SpreadConnecticut +6.5
Total157.5

Washington entered 14-12 while Connecticut stood at 7-20, but the Mystics had been one of the league’s least dependable favorites. Washington was only 2-7 against the spread when laying points.

Connecticut lacked consistent scoring but continued to receive credible defensive work from Leïla Lacan, Diamond Miller and Nelson-Ododa. That defensive base offered a path to staying within a number against a Washington side that had not handled favorite status well.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Connecticut Sun +6.5

Night Moves Chat

Timmy Two-Shoes also leaned toward Connecticut plus the points.

Toronto Tempo at Minnesota Lynx

Money LineToronto +780 / Minnesota -1380
SpreadMinnesota -14.5
Total184.5

Minnesota had won seven consecutive games entering the break but failed to cover in five straight. Toronto was only 1-7 in its previous eight both straight up and against the spread, although the Tempo remained 7-3 against the number on the road.

The total was extremely high, but the betting profiles supported offense. Toronto had gone over in six straight road games and was 15-4 to the over as an underdog. Minnesota had gone over in five consecutive home games and was 10-4 to the over at home.

Napheesa Collier’s return strengthened an already productive Minnesota offense. Toronto carried injury uncertainty involving Isabelle Harrison and Kiki Rice, but Ramon still projected enough pace and scoring for the game to threaten 200 combined points.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Over 185

Night Moves Chat

Westup believed the number was too high and preferred the under. The chat also identified Toronto as a possible spread value because of Minnesota’s recent failure to cover large numbers.

Indiana Fever at Seattle Storm

Money LineIndiana -430 / Seattle +320
SpreadIndiana -9.5
Total183.5

Indiana had won five consecutive meetings with Seattle, but the Storm remained one of the league’s better spread teams despite a poor straight-up record. Seattle had covered six of seven overall and eight of nine at home.

The total was supported by both recent form and the previous matchup. Indiana had gone over in six of seven, Seattle had gone over in four of five, and the teams combined for 217 points when they met only 11 days earlier.

Caitlin Clark was listed as probable, strengthening the case for Indiana’s offense to operate at full speed.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Over 184.5

Night Moves Chat

Westup selected Seattle in the first half and proposed a combination involving Sophie Cunningham to make at least one three-pointer and Caitlin Clark to make at least two.

Portland Fire at Las Vegas Aces

Money LinePortland +437 / Las Vegas -620
SpreadLas Vegas -11.5
Total178.5

Portland lost its final two games before the break but covered both large spreads. The Fire had covered seven of 10 overall and five of six on the road, while Las Vegas was only 5-7 against the spread at home.

Portland had gone over in four of five, and Las Vegas had finished over in seven of 10. The Fire were also 15-8 to the over as an underdog and 9-5 to the over on the road.

Las Vegas listed Parker-Tyus and Kierstan Bell out. Ramon still expected the pace and offensive profiles to outweigh those absences.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Over 178.5

Night Moves Chat

Timmy Two-Shoes agreed with the over. Westup also selected the over and paired it with A’ja Wilson to score at least 20 points.

New York Liberty at Los Angeles Sparks

Money LineNew York -210 / Los Angeles +168
SpreadLos Angeles +5.5
Total181.5

Los Angeles had struggled to win and carried only a 4-9 home spread record. However, New York had been even less dependable when laying points, entering 3-10 against the spread on the road and 8-15 as a favorite.

The Liberty had also covered only two of their previous 11 meetings with Los Angeles. Injuries had weakened the Sparks, but the number offered enough room against a New York team that repeatedly failed to create margin.

Ramon Scott’s Pick: Los Angeles Sparks +5

Night Moves Chat

Timmy Two-Shoes agreed with the Sparks plus the points.

Yesterday’s Games Recap

Pirates Walk Off Arizona

Pittsburgh defeated Arizona 3-2 on Brandon Lowe’s third hit of the night. Merrill Kelly recorded 17 outs and allowed only one earned run, but the Pirates completed the comeback in an important series involving two teams near the final National League wild-card position.

Marlins End 12-Game Losing Streak

Miami erased its long losing streak with a dramatic comeback against Philadelphia. Heriberto Hernández homered and drove in three runs as the Marlins scored three times in the ninth inning. Philadelphia fell to 3-7 since the All-Star break.

Rangers Punish Seattle Pitching

Joc Pederson homered in each of his first two at-bats, while George Kirby allowed seven runs in four innings. Kumar Rocker recorded 20 outs and surrendered only four hits as Texas defeated Seattle.

Cubs Continue Cardinals’ Slide

Chicago won 7-3 behind a home run and two doubles from Alex Bregman and four hits with a home run from Nico Hoerner. St. Louis slipped further behind in the wild-card race.

Astros Rally Past Angels

Los Angeles carried a 4-2 lead into the ninth inning but committed costly mistakes as Houston came back to win. The result moved the Astros into a tie for second place in the American League West.

Giants Shut Out Milwaukee

Tyler Mahle held the Brewers to three hits over six shutout innings as San Francisco won 3-0. Milwaukee remained in first place in the National League Central despite the loss.

Orioles Outslug Detroit

Jackson Holliday collected four hits, and Baltimore hit three home runs in an 8-5 victory over the Tigers.

Blue Jays Edge Washington

Toronto defeated the Nationals 3-2 behind a home run from Luis Urías and enough pitching to prevent Washington’s offense from building momentum.

Yankees Score Nine Against Chicago

Jazz Chisholm Jr. delivered a two-run double, and Ali Sánchez added a three-run home run as New York defeated the White Sox 9-5.

Boston Covers Against Oakland

Ceddanne Rafaela hit a grand slam in Boston’s 4-2 victory. The Red Sox covered the run line despite being held to four total runs by Oakland’s pitching staff.

Final Betting Outlook

Ramon Scott’s Tuesday card is defined by selective run-line positions in baseball, a cluster of American League unders and an aggressive group of WNBA overs. Tampa Bay, Boston and Los Angeles represent his strongest attempts to isolate superior team form, while Arizona and Toronto offer underdog value behind improving starting pitchers.

The WNBA slate is more volatile. Minnesota-Toronto, Indiana-Seattle and Portland-Las Vegas all carry totals high enough to create uncomfortable betting decisions, but recent pace and over records support Ramon’s expectation that the offenses can resume the schedule quickly.

The most important late variables are the weather in Washington and New York, the confirmed pitching arrangement for both Cleveland-Cincinnati games and the final St. Louis starter. Bettors should also confirm WNBA injury reports before placing wagers, particularly in games involving Toronto, Indiana, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Odds are subject to change. Always verify the current line, listed pitchers and player availability before placing a wager.
