In the 2019 season, Jordan Walker, who is widely regarded as one of the top 10 prospects in the game, is anticipated to make his big-league debut at some point and present more difficulties for opposition pitching staffs.

At some time throughout the season, starter Gordon Graceffo, another player from the top 100, should be available to add to the rotation.

Ivan Herrera, a catcher who is also very close to the major leagues, provides the squad with some redundancy should anything happen to Contreras.
