Ohio State Cyclones vs Wisconsin Badgers Predictions 3/8/2023
The Wisconsin Badgers are currently included in Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology’s “First four out” column. They are on the wrong side of the bracket, but a few victories in the Big Ten Tournament could win over the selection committee.
Only two of the Badgers’ final five games were won by the team as a whole. Steven Crowl and Tyler Wahl, both finished with 21 points and seven rebounds that helped them defeat Minnesota.
With four players producing between 11.3 and 12.2 PPG for the Badgers, their scoring attack is evenly distributed. At 12.2 PPG and 2.9 APG, guard Chucky Hepburn is the team’s top scorer and assist provider.
Hepburn, a sophomore who is 6’2″, makes 43.1% of his three-point attempts. Connor Essegian, a 6’4″ freshman guard, averaged 11.9 points per game and made a couple more threes than Hepburn (64 vs. 59).
Tyler Wahl, a senior forward who is 6’9, averages 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. His recent game highlights are seen above.
Steven Crowl is 7’0 245 pounds and leads the club in rebounds with 7.1 per game while averaging 11.6 PPG.
At the Big Ten postseason awards, Chucky Hepburn received an honorable mention, and Connor Essegian was named to the All-Freshman team.
- The Wisconsin Badgers are 5-15 ATS in their last 20 matches.
- The total went UNDER in 4 of the Badgers’ last 6 matches.
- The total went OVER in 8 of Wisconsin’s last 11 matches against Ohio State.
Ohio State Buckeyes vs Wisconsin Badgers. The NCAAB pick for this game is the Wisconsin Badgers.
Being one of the worst teams to wager on this season, Ohio State lost their best post player for the year, so now is not the time to expect them to turn things around.
Zed Key will be sidelined for the remainder of the season since Ohio State only covered 35.5% of its games this season, placing them in the bottom 20 of all of Division 1.
Hepburn, Essegian, Wahl, and Crowl are four excellent players for Wisconsin, even though they lack a star.
Wahl and Crowl will make the difference in this game because Ohio State is lacking good big men to guard at the rim. Wisconsin will win to a predicted score of 67-64.
