The Northern Iowa Panthers will meet with the Air Force Falcons in NCAAF action in Falcon Stadium, CO, on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 1:00 PM ET.

The Northern Iowa Panthers, who finished the season at 6-6 overall and 4-4 in Missouri Valley Conference play, will be hoping to bounce back from what would normally be considered a low year for the program.

Theo Day, who led Northern Iowa with 723 running yards in UNI’s backfield last season, is back as quarterback after completing 56.2% of his passes for 2,316 yards and 16 touchdowns. Dom Williams, who is also back for his final tour.

Isaiah Weston, who was selected for the all-MVC team at wide receiver, and Trevor Penning, two of UNI’s finest receivers, will be difficult for the club to replace.

Quan Hampton and Deion McShane are returning, which is fantastic news for the Panthers considering their combined 838 yards and 74 receptions during the previous year.

Spencer Cuvelier and Benny Sapp III, who both earned all-MVC accolades, are returning to lead the Panther defense on defense.

Having had 51 tackles, 10 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks in 2021, Caden Houghtelling will be seeking to capitalize on that performance in 2022. Devin Rice and Bryce Flater round out Northern Iowa’s dominant offensive line.

Northern Iowa Panthers vs Air Force Falcons Predictions 9/3/2022

After a 10-3 record in Colorado Springs in 2021, which included a 6-2 record in Mountain West conference play and a share of the Mountain division regular season championship, the Air Force Falcons will be looking to improve on a respectably successful season.

The Falcons were invited to play in the First Responder Bowl, where they defeated Louisville by a score of 31–28.

Air Force’s Haaziq Daniels is back as a quarterback, but his throwing statistics don’t really matter; what matters is his ability to direct the team’s signature option attack.

Brad Roberts is also available after leading the Falcons with 1,357 yards and 13 touchdowns. Daniels led the team in running with 736 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Tre Bugg, the team’s leading tackler, as well as Jordan Jackson on the defensive line, are among the top players the Falcons lose from that side of the field, but the linebacking group, along with Trey Taylor in the secondary, and all-MWC pass rusher Vince Sanford up front, will make up for those losses.

  • The Air Force Falcons are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 matches.
  • The total went OVER in 4 of the Air Force’s last 5 contests.
  • Air Force is 8-2 SU in their last 10 matches.

Northern Iowa Panthers vs Air Force Falcons. The NCAAF pick for this game is the Air Force Falcons. The Air Force defense lost some of its finest players, and just five starters are back. However, the Falcons’ success will be determined by their offensive performance.

Hazziq Daniels at quarterback and Brad Roberts as running back will be Air Force’s attack to wear out Northern Iowa’s weak front seven and score a lot of points for the Falcons.

The Air Force Falcons will win to a predicted score of 51-3 and cover ATS.
