With Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, and George Springer, the Toronto Blue Jays had a fantastic offensive squad last season. However, as they grew older together, they decided to trade for Matt Chapman from the Oakland Athletics.

This Toronto squad is strong in all areas of the game, and they will be a difficult team to beat. They’ll have to hope Matt Chapman has a better start to the season than he had in 2021, when he hit.189 with four home runs and 13 RBI in 27 games, although he was coming back from hip surgery at the time.

If only a handful of men in this lineup are clicking, it might be a difficult lineup to manage.

After trading AL Cy Young Award winner Robbie Ray to free agency, they added depth to their starting rotation, which helped them improve their pitching.

They’ll have to rely on veteran Hyun Jin Ryu to step up, although he struggled at home last season, going 7-6 with a 4.91 ERA in 16 starts.

Ryu struggled to make weak contact since his hard-hit rate was in the 26th percentile. He throws four pitches consistently, but he has to make sure his curveball isn’t missing and he needs to work on keeping hitters on their toes. The Rangers progressed, and Ryu cannot afford to make too many errors in this game.
