After a successful 2020 season that concluded with a defeat to Ole Miss in the Outback Bowl, Indiana entered the 2021 season with high hopes. Under Tom Allen, the Hoosiers are no longer the Big Ten’s pushovers. The passionate head coach will have his squad ready for this Week 7 showdown in Bloomington, but the Spartans are looking for vengeance.

Last season, Indiana arrived in East Lansing and blanked Michigan State, which Mel Tucker recognizes as unacceptable. His team dropped 24-0, but the Spartans came a long way since then, while Indiana appeared to take a step back. There’s a reason Indiana was rated to begin the 2021 season, and I believe the Spartans will have a stiff challenge from the Hoosiers. Michael Penix has a habit of causing problems for Michigan State, and this season will be no exception, with the Spartans’ secondary underperforming.
