Bills coming off a physical opponent in the Steelers last week. Dolphins defense held New England to 1 of 4 conversions inside the red zone in their win. Bills dropped a 23-16 home decision to the Steelers giving up all 23 in the second half. Bills had struggles converting red zone opportunities going 1 of 4. Josh Allen averaged only 4.7 yards per pass attempt in the Steelers loss. The Dolphins did cover their home meeting with Buffalo last season and ironically it was also held in September. Underdog angle has been strong in September involving teams in the same divisional the past ten years covering at a rate of sixty percent. Play Miami +3.5.
Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Pick Prediction 9/19/2021
Broncos at Jaguars—NFL free pick is Denver Broncos -6. Jaguars drew one of the worst defensive teams in the league last year in Houston and dropped at 37-21 decision. Jaguars a poor defensive team in 2020 surrendered 449 yards to the Texans with 289 in the passing game. Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence had three touchdowns but three interceptions. Now he must face a good defensive team in Denver who is healthy. Broncos drew the Giants last week and pulled away for the 27-13 road win. Under Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback the Broncos gained 420 yards. Bridgewater was efficient passing 28 of 36 for 264 yards and two touchdowns. Defense held New York to 314 yards Broncos run game delivered with 165 yards and 5.9 per attempt. Poor sign for a Jaguars team mired with poor defensive play the past several seasons. Play Denver -6.
Houston Texans vs. Cleveland Browns Pick Prediction 9/19/2021
Texans at Browns—Free pick is Houston Texas +12.5. Tyrod Taylor made the most of his opportunity to start for Houston and delivered in their win against the Jaguars. He went 21 of 33 for 291 yards and two touchdowns. Cleveland was outscored 23-7 in the second half of their 33-29 defeat to Kansas City. Browns surrendered 324 yards passing and Chiefs converted 3 of 5 inside the red zone. Browns are a good offensive team but it is the defense that is concerning laying these many points especially with Tyrod Taylor showing ability. Play Houston +12.5.

Falcons at Buccaneers—NFL pick is Atlanta Falcons +12.5. Never like to lay double digits in a divisional game especially this early in the season in Week 2. Falcons looking for a bounce back after an embarrassing home loss to Philadelphia. Tampa Bay is strong offensively, but it is the defense that keeps me away from backing them laying the points. Bucs allowed the Cowboys 451 yards with 391 passing with 72.4% completion rate. Divisional dogs in September have produced a 60% cover rate the past ten years. Play Atlanta +12.5.
Dallas Cowboys vs. LA Chargers Pick Prediction 9/19/2021
Cowboys at Chargers—NFL free pick is Dallas Cowboys +3.5. Chargers were not supported by the LA fans in their temporary home. In this new stadium must believe that Cowboy fans will be loud and in attendance in great numbers. Must respect the Cowboys offensive performance falling short at Tampa Bay in their opener posting 451 yards. Dak Prescott was sharp in his return from injury hitting on 42 of 58 for 402 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Dallas threw the ball 58 times and ran it only 18. The Chargers offense generated 20 points but had one five yard drive with the Football Team fumble deep in their territory that set up the LAC winning touchdown. Washington played with a backup quarterback for much of the game. Cowboys don’t want an 0-2 start and will come in with more rest playing on Thursday Night opener. Chargers also dealing with injuries in the secondary and offensive line. Play Dallas +3.5.
