Memphis vs. SMU Pick Prediction 10/3/2020
Memphis at SMU—College football pick is Memphis Tigers -2.5. Tigers have won and covered the past two meetings with the Mustangs. This is the second game of the season for Memphis after their 37-24 home win to Arkansas St to open the season where they posted 510 offensive yards. Returning for the Tigers this year is senior quarterback Brady White who started his third year at the school. He passed for over 4000 yards and 33 touchdown throws in 2019. This is a huge step up in class for an SMU team that posted wins to Texas St, North Texas and Stephen F. Austin. In the opener White completed 73.1% of his throws with four touchdowns and a pick. Concern for SMU is always defensively under head coach Sonny Dykes. They gave up 54 points to the Tigers last year. Play Memphis -2.5.
Oklahoma St vs. Kansas Pick Prediction 10/3/2020
Oklahoma St at Kansas—College football free pick is Kansas Jayhawks +21. Not comfortable laying three touchdowns with the state of the Oklahoma St offense. Starting quarterback for the Cowboys Spencer Sanders is dealing with an ankle injury. Cowboys putting up only 21 points per game scoring 16 in their win against Tulsa. After two losses to start the season Les Miles needs to resort back to the run dominated style that kept the Jayhawks in games. They do have experience at running back. Cowboys running over twice as many times that throwing and that can keep the Jayhawks within this number. Play Kansas +21.
Virginia Tech vs. Duke Pick Prediction 10/3/2020
Virginia Tech at Duke—Free pick is Virginia Tech Hokies -10.5. Hokies experienced returning eight of offense and ten to the defensive line. Huge revenge game for the Hokies after getting embarrassed at home to the Blue Devils at home last year. Virginia Tech all five back on the offensive line and they pounded NC State in their win last week rushing for 314 yards and 7.7 yards per attempt. Duke off to a poor start at 0-3. Blue Devils getting poor production from first year starting quarterback Chase Brice completing 51.3% of his throws with two touchdowns and six picks. Blue Devils have had trouble with the physical teams on their schedule in Notre Dame, Boston College and Virginia. Hokies possess that same style of physical style and can wear down the Blue Devils. Charlotte vs. Florida Atlantic Pick Prediction 10/3/2020
Charlotte at FAU—College football pick is Charlotte 49ers +5.5. Charlotte will be playing their second game after their loss but cover against Appalachian St. Charlotte does return their starting quarterback and playmakers in the passing game. They did show improvement late last season winning their final five regular season games prior to their bowl game. FAU is under first year head coach Willie Taggart are hoping to play their first game of the year. Starting quarterback Chris Robison left the program near the start of the season. Taggart has only five starters on offense and three to the defense. Also throw in their postponements to COVID and is a difficult situation to lay points against a conference opponent with experience at quarterback and wide receiver position. There is also more stability in the 49ers coaching rank with Will Healy in his second season. Play Charlotte +5.5.
