This is their first 100 loss season since 2003. The Reds had a better season last year recording 75-87. The Tigers will have some familiar faces such as Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera. They also acquired Austin Romine and Cameron Maybin, who were with the Yankees squad last season. The Tigers need to improve their pitching game as their bullpen and starting rotation was a little off the previous season. The Tiger’s team ERA was ranked 28th last season, and the staff does not look like they put much work on that heading into the 2020 regular season. Detroit will have southpaw Matthew Boyd open Friday’s game. Last season Boyd put up a 9-12 record with a 4.56 ERA, and 238 strikeouts.

The Cincinnati Reds are one of the teams being eyed for the 2020 season. Although 2019 was not their best year, the squad looks stronger than ever. Guys like Mike Moustakas, Eugenio Suarez, Nick Castellanos, and Nick Senzel their lineup is a force to be reckoned with. They were also able to bring in Japanese star Shogo Akiyama. The Reds are going to Sonny Gray to start this Friday. Gray’s stat last season is at an 8-3 record with a 1.99 ERA in 15 starts.
