LA Rams come off the 26-23 overtime victory at New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship as a +3 betting underdog. Rams overcame a 13-0 deficit after one quarter. Game winning overtime field goal was set up by a Rams interception on the Saints first drive in overtime. Their offense posted 378 yards with 77 rushing. Jared Goff hit on 25 of 40 for 297 yards with a touchdown and interception Each team had one turnover and LA was 2 of 4 inside the red zone. Defensively Los Angeles allowed 290 yards to the New Orleans offense with 242 passing with two touchdowns and that key overtime pick. They did allow 48 yards on the ground and 2 of 5 inside the red zone.

New England Patriots vs. LA Rams Pick—NFL pick is New England Patriots -2. Big issue against the Rams is the health of Todd Gurley and their play in the red zone. Gurley does not have the fast speed to the hole like he showed earlier in the season. Something is not right, and he had knee treatments near the end of the regular season. Another issue has been the play of the Rams inside the red zone. They have settled for too many field goals in the playoffs and regular season as Goff struggles with his reads down close to the end zone. Patriots put up 35 points in the first half against the Chargers and ended with 41 for the game. Patriots posted 31 regulation points at KC. They outgained the Chiefs and Chargers a combined 397 yards. New England also has their running backs healthy and they have performed well in the playoffs. Look for Brady to utilize screen plays to help slow down the pass rush. Patriots were able to move the ball and score 38 points on that Bears defense something the Rams couldn’t do. I will take the three headed monster of Michel, Burkhead and White over C.J. Anderson and a Todd Gurley less than 100%. Also, the Patriots red zone execution is better than the Rams.
