The Huskies had a game against Buffalo last week, where NIU won by six points in overtime. The Huskies dropped two of its first three matches against Wyoming and Michigan but then went on a five-game winning streak over Maine, Eastern Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green, and Central Michigan. NIU then went on to lose to Kent State before defeating Ball State.

In a game against Buffalo last Wednesday, NIU gave up 10 important points in the fourth quarter and required overtime to win 33-27. Rocky Lombardi threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns, while Clint Ratkovich ran for 75 yards and 2 scores.
