The Syracuse Orange (5-5) will meet the North Carolina State Wolfpack (7-3) in week 12 of the ACC college football battle at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 4:00 PM ET.

 

Syracuse will try to improve their record above .500 in facing North Carolina in the ACC Atlantic competition on Saturday. The Orange will try to get back after losing their recent stint to Louisville that snapped their two-game losing streak.

 

The Syracuse Orange is in 6th place in the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division with a 2-4 conference and a 5-5 overall standing this season.

 

The Orange ended up scoring just three points in the opening quarter before their offense collapsed with three scoreless quarters leading to a 3-41 blowout loss to the Cardinals on November 13.

 

Syracuse struggled after gaining just 184 yards of total offense with 46 passing yards and 138 rushing yards on 3.2 yards per play.

 

QB Garrett Shrader had difficulty in his passing after completing 10 of his 18 attempted passes for 46 yards while rushing for 43 yards on 20 carries in the loss.

 

RB Sean Tucker led the running game for 95 yards on 19 carries while WR DeVaughn Cooper led the Orange’s receiving corps with 4 grabs for 19 yards in the losing effort. DB Garrett Williams reinforced Syracuse’s defensive line with 5 solo tackles while LB Mikel Jones added 3 tackles and a sack.

The NC State Wolfpack will be hosting this ACC tournament match-up versus the Syracuse Orange after a three-point loss to Wake Forest last time out. The Wolfpack broke a two-game winning streak over Louisville and Florida State in that game.

On ground offense, RB Ricky Person, Jr. led the running game for the Wolfpack with 8 carries for 36 yards while WR Emeka Emezie scored 2 touchdowns with 133 receiving yards on 10 grabs.

 

Safety Tanner Ingle stopped the ball with 6 solos and 3 assisted tackles while DL Daniel Joseph added 4 tackles and a sack in augmenting the backfield.
