NCAA College Football Picks Preview Predictions Odds 9-18-2018

Thursday September 20th

7:30PM ET–Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs. Temple Owls (ESPN)
Temple -7 with o/u 55.5

Temple Owls avoiding an 0-3 start by upsetting Maryland 35-14 last week. It was a good defensive effort as the Terrapins points came on a pick and punt return. Owls beat Tulsa 43-22 on the road last year.
Tulsa started the year beating Central Arkansas then dropped games at Texas and last week at home to Arkansas St 29-20. Golden Hurricane gave up 408 yards to the Red Wolves and turned the ball over three times.

Friday September 21st, 2018
10:30PM ET—Washington St Cougars vs. USC Trojans (ESPN)
USC -3.5 with o/u 53
Washington St beat USC by three at home last year. Cougars are 3-0 but faced a weak schedule with wins at Wyoming then home to San Jose St and Eastern Washington. Seven first year starters on offense face their biggest test.
USC has struggled offensively in losses at Stanford then last week to Texas. Their lone win came in the opener 43-21 at home to UNLV. Trojans are running for 3.8 yards per carry.

Saturday September 22nd, 2018

12PM ET—Georgia Bulldogs vs. Missouri Tigers (ESPN)
Georgia -14 with o/u 64.5.
Bulldogs are 3-0 and have a notable 41-17 road win at South Carolina. Defensively Georgia is allowing only 258 yards and 4.2 yards per rush.
Drew Lock a four year starter at quarterback for Missouri. Tigers have covered all three games against Georgia in the three starts for Lock. Missouri is 3-0 after a field goal as time expired beat Purdue on the road 40-37 not covering as a five point favorite.

12PM ET—Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (ABC)
Notre Dame -7.5 with o/u 60.5
Notre Dame failed to cover for the second consecutive game with their third straight one possession victory beating Vanderbilt 22-17 as a four teen point favorite. Fighting Irish had a +3 turnover margin but the offense went 5 of 15 on third down.
Wake Forest comes off a loss at home to Boston College 41-34 as a +6.5 underdog. They moved the football for 512 yards on the Eagles but their defense surrendered 524 yards. But Demon Deacons were 5 of 22 on third down.
3:30PM ET—Clemson vs. Georgia Tech (ABC)
Clemson -16.5 with o/u 52
Clemson won 24-10 last year as a fourteen point favorite at home. Clemson is 3-0 but in their lone road game defended a two point conversion attempt in a 28-26 road win as a 12 point favorite.
Georgia Tech is 1-2 with road losses at Pittsburgh and South Florida. They beat Alcorn St in week one at home. Yellow Jackets were down 24-6 after three quarters at Pittsburgh last week.

3:30PM ET—Texas A&M vs. Alabama (CBS)
Alabama -27 with o/u 61
Texas A&M has looked undersized every time they face Alabama the past few seasons. Aggies were competitive last year losing 27-19 at home as a +25 underdog. Aggies have a two point home loss to Clemson their only blemish on the season.
Alabama comes off their third straight blowout win this time against Ole Miss 62-7 covering as a -22 ½ point favorite. It could have been worse, but they took out Tua during the second half. Alabama is averaging 544 yards per game.

4:30PM ET—TCU vs. Texas (FOX)
TCU -3.5 with o/u 47.5
TCU looks to rebound after a 40-28 loss on a neutral field to Ohio St but covering. Horned Frogs committed three turnovers and gave up 27 second half points to the Buckeyes in defeat.
Texas down 14-3 after one quarter responded strongly outscoring the Trojans 34-0 the rest of the way. They held the Trojans to negative yardage rushing on 16 carries.

7PM ET—Texas Tech at Oklahoma St (Fox Sports 1)
Oklahoma St -13 with o/u 77.5
Last year Oklahoma St wins 41-34 as a ten point favorite on the road. Red Raiders moved to 2-1 with a 63-49 home win to Houston. They gave up 47 points to Ole Miss in a Week 1 defeat.
Oklahoma St were underdogs at home to Boise St last week and won 44-21. They were aided by a block punt for a touchdown and put on a good defensive performance against the run giving up 34 yards on 31 carries.

8PM ET—Stanford at Oregon (ABC)
Stanford -2 with o/u 57.5
Stanford has had recent success against Oregon winning 49-7 at home last year and 52-27 at Oregon two seasons ago. This is the earliest they have played for a long time. Cardinal goes on the road for the first time. They have notable home wins to USC 17-3 and San Diego St 31-10.
Oregon is 3-0 facing a soft schedule with wins against an FCS school in Portland St then beating bottom rung teams in Bowling Green and San Jose St last week. They have not covered a spread this season. Their defense has given up more yardage than Stanford yet have played softer opponents.

8:30PM ET—Wisconsin at Iowa (FOX)
Wisconsin -3 with o/u 43.5
Wisconsin dropped a game at home to BYU last week as a game tying field goal is missed to force overtime. Badgers were 4 of 13 on third down and allowed BYU to run for 6.9 yards per carry.
Iowa it tough at home getting points in prime time against high profile teams. They are 3-0 on the season behind strong defensive performances against Iowa St and Northern Illinois at home. Last year in their loss at Wisconsin the Hawkeyes had only 66 offensive yards.

10:30PM ET—Arizona St at Washington (ESPN)
Washington -17 with o/u 51
Lets see how Arizona St responds after suffering their first loss of the season 28-21 at San Diego St last year. ASU could of went up 21-7 late in the first half but they fail to convert a fourth a foot inside the five of San Diego St. They did fight back to make it interesting in the end.
Washington put on a strong defensive effort beating Utah 21-7 on the road last week. Arizona St has covered ten straight against the Huskies including a 13-7 home win last week. ASU has won straight up nine of ten against Washington.
