NCAA College Football Picks Preview Predictions Odds 12-30-2018

Monday December 31st—

7:30PM ET—NC State vs. Texas A&M (ESPN)
Texas A&M -7 with o/u 56
Texas A&M enters play on a three game win streak. They concluded their regular season with a home win to LSU 74-72 in seven overtimes. They did play Clemson tough losing by two at home. Other losses came to Alabama, Mississippi St and Auburn on the road.
NC State a good offensive team that gained 471 yards per game. Ryan Finley must be happy that Justin Herbert returns to college. He led a passing attack that threw for 327 yards but struggled in their step up game at Clemson.

12PM ET—Mississippi St vs. Iowa (ESPN 2)
Mississippi St -7 with o/u 42
Bulldogs an 8-4 team with an outstanding defense but inaccurate quarterback. In their losses were held to seven points or fewer at Alabama, LSU, Kentucky and home to Florida. Bulldogs gave up only 12 points per game.
Iowa after going through a three game losing streak finished with wins at Illinois and by three at home to Nebraska They did hold opponents to 289 yards and 17.4 points per game.
Fiesta Bowl Glendale Arizona
LSU -7.5 with o/u 55.5
LSU 9-3 overall and had a disappointing defensive performance unable to get stops a seven overtime loss to Texas A&M 74-72 on the road but covered as a three point underdog.
UCF undefeated again this regular season at 12-0 looking to upset another SEC team in a bowl. But UCF is without their starting quarterback McKenzie Milton with a knee injury.

1PM ET—Kentucky vs. Penn St (ABC)
Penn St -6.5 with o/u 47
Kentucky had a good regular season finishing at 9-3. Points were an issue in their final five games against the SEC scoring 17 or fewer losing three of those games.
Penn St suffered three losses on the season to Ohio St and Michigan St on the road. They fell 42-7 at Michigan. The defense did recover in their three game win streak to close the season allowing no greater than ten points in each game.
Rose Bowl Pasadena
5PM ET—Washington vs. Ohio St (ESPN)
Ohio St -6.5 with o/u 57.5
Huskies a 9-3 team finished with a four game win streak. In the Apple Cup beat Washington St 28-15 on the road in the snow and got past Utah 10-3 in the PAC 12 title game.
Ohio St at 12-1 team with their only loss to Purdue 49-20 keeping them out of the playoffs. After blowing out Michigan at home 62-39 the team beat Northwestern in the Big Ten title game 45-24. Urban Meyer’s last game.

Texas vs. Georgia (ESPN)
Georgia -12.5 with o/u 58
Longhorns finished at 9-4 losing to Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game 39-27. Their defense did allow 34 points or greater in four of their final six games.
Bulldogs failed in their quest for a playoff berth with a 35-28 defeat to Alabama blowing a 28-14 second half lead. Their other defeat on the season came at LSU 36-16. Bulldogs held opponents to 18.5 points per game.

Nick Foles sore ribs in their win against Washington. Eagles on a three game win streak.
Bears did what good teams do. Eliminate their division rivals from the playoffs no matter what the situation called for.

NBA Segment—Monday 12/31/2018
7PM ET—Celtics at Spurs (NBA TV)
Pick o/u 218
Celtics has dropped four of six until their 112-103 road win at Memphis on Saturday. They overcame a 20 point halftime deficit.
Spurs were 0-6 straight up on back to backs until they won at the Clippers Saturday night 122-111. They had played in altitude the night before at Denver losing 102-99. San Antonio in their win at LA was also playing their third game in four nights.
9PM ET—Warriors at Suns (League Pass)
Golden St -10 with o/u 227
Warriors broke their two game losing streak defeating Portland on the road 115-105 as a five point favorite. Klay Thompson broke out a slump with 32 points hitting on 12 of 21. First time he had scored 20 points or greater in six games. His three point shooting percentage at 34.2% is his worst in his career which had been 41.4% in his rookie campaign.
Suns have lost two straight all at home after a 122-118 defeat to Denver. Suns have been more competitive covering eight of their past nine games They started the home stand with five wins in their past seven games.
