Notable Weekday Series:
Mets at Yankees—
Yankees took Game 1 of this series in extra innings. They are in action on Tuesday. Yankees are selling relievers and aging veterans to get younger.
Mets fell to 54-51 after their loss and two games out of the wildcard spot. They are horrible hitting with runners in scoring position at .209.
Dodgers at Rockies—
The Dodgers are making deals at the deadline to bolster their starting staff and hitting. Puig goes to the minors to learn how to play at the Major League level.
Rockies can get in the wildcard race if they continue their good play. They have won eight of ten after dropping a 6-4 decision at the Mets on Sunday.
White Sox at Tigers—
White Sox have dropped three of four after losing 6-4 at Minnesota. Looks like the White Sox will make moves in the offseason.
Tigers are now sitting one game behind in the AL Wildcard and five games in the loss column back of first place Cleveland. They have won six straight as they open this series on Tuesday.
Rangers at Orioles—
Texas holds a 5 ½ game lead on Houston heading into Tuesday. They swept KC in a four game home series over the weekend holding the Royals to a total of 9 runs in the four games.
The Orioles sit just one up on the Red Sox and Blue Jays in the AL East. They broke a five game losing streak with a 6-2 win at Toronto on Sunday.
Blue Jays at Astros—
Toronto dropped the first game of this series losing 2-1. They pick up starter Mike Bolsinger from the Dodgers, Scott Feldman from Houston and Francisco Liriano.
Houston is in the post season race but has lost five of seven games. Astros have been pretty quiet during the trading deadline.
Notable Weekend Series:
Giants at Nationals—
San Francisco is just 2 games up on the Dodgers heading into Tuesday. They have struggled for run production since the All Star Break.
Washington holds a 5 game lead over Miami in the NL East. They crushed the Diamondbacks 14-1 as they opened up this series on Monday.
Indians at Yankees—
We talked Yankees already
Cleveland had a three game win streak snapped in a 12-5 home defeat to Minnesota. They trailed big at home to Minnesota on Tuesday 6-0 in the fourth inning. They lose Danny Salazar to the DL with elbow Inflammation.
Rangers at Astros—
We talked about both teams already
Houston is 33-21 in their home ballpark.
Angels at Mariners—
Angels showed some promise immediately following the All Star Break. But they have dropped 6 of 10 after blowing a 3-0 ninth inning lead to Boston on Sunday losing 5-3.
The Mariners are a .500 team at 52-52 heading into Tuesday. They have lost four of five after a 2-1 home defeat to Boston on Monday.
Cubs at Athletics—
Cubs sit 8 ahead of St Louis in the NL Central. They have won five of six after a 5-0 home victory to Miami on Monday. They just picked up reliever Joe Smith from the Angels.
Oakland has been sellers during the trading deadline sitting at 47-58 heading into Tuesday. They get swept in three games at Cleveland over the weekend.

Boston has won three of four after suffering a four game losing streak. They were quiet during the deadline.
