Notable Mid-week series:

Yankees at Blue Jays—

After sweeping Toronto last week the Yankees hit a cold streak.

Blue Jays after dropping five of six crush the Yankees in Game 1 of this series on Monday.

Tigers at Rangers—

Detroit retakes first place in the AL Central by 2 games over Royals. After losing three of four to KC the team sweeps Cleveland in three games on the road.

Texas is 11 ½ games behind Oakland in the AL West standings. They go into Anaheim and get swept by the Angels and have dropped five straight heading into Tuesday.

Nationals at Brewers—

A battle of first place teams. Washington holds a two game lead over Atlanta. They beat Milwaukee in Game 1 on Monday 3-0. In their past three games heading into Tuesday the Nationals pitching staff has allowed a total of 1 run.

Brewers have a 4 ½ game lead over St Louis. Had their four game win streak broken on Monday in a loss to Washington. Closed out a 6-1 road trip by pounding NL West underachievers in Arizona and Colorado by facing them at the right time.

Dodgers at Royals—

LA loses game 1 of this series but does not lose ground to San Francisco. LA is 4 back heading into Tuesday. It’s Kershaw on the hill after no hitting Rockies last week.

Royals drop to two games behind Tigers after getting swept in three games over the weekend against Seattle. The offense is very inconsistent for KC as their pitching staff is carrying them.
