Notable Mid-Week Series:
Phillies at Mets—
Mets lose three of four at Miami to move to 7-6 on the season. Offense hit a bit of a slump.
Phillies have dropped five of six after losing two of three at Washington over the weekend. They are in action Tuesday at the Mets. Philadelphia Team ERA 4.94 is 28th in MLB.
Red Sox at Blue Jays—
Red Sox win three of four at home to Tampa Bay over the weekend. With six homers on the season the Red Sox rank 30th in Major League Baseball.
Blue Jay’s bullpen are blowing saves and lack of offense has led Toronto to the basement of the AL East with a 2-10 mark as they host Boston in the opener of this series.
Angels at Astros—
Angels have hit an early season slump. In their first 12 games they got 5 1/3rd or fewer innings from their starter. They then get seven innings in back to back games from their starters and still lose. LA sits at 6-8.
Houston atop the AL West at 9-4 after beating the Angels in the opener on Monday for their fifth straight victory. They are in action on Tuesday with the Angels.

Nationals at Mets—

Nationals sit at 7-5 atop the NL East as they meet Atlanta on the road Tuesday. Nationals have won two of three in back to back series at home to the Cardinals and Phillies.
Cubs at Reds—
Cubs off to a 6-7 start losers of four straight after a home loss 6-3 to Milwaukee on Monday. All the losses were at home.
Reds lead the NL Central at 8-5 despite losing three of four at home to Milwaukee. Cincinnati are crushing Baltimore at home Tuesday.
Giants at Rockies—
San Francisco sits in the basement with the Padres in the NL West at 5-9. They lose three of four at home to Colorado over the weekend.
Rockies sit atop the NL West at 9-5. They got good pitching winning three of four at San Francisco. Rockies pitchers are limiting base runners with a WHIP of 1.17 which is fifth in MLB.
Dodgers at Diamondbacks—
Dodgers sit at 7-7 splitting a four game series at home with Arizona. LA continues their struggles from 2016 hitting left handers.
Arizona is 9-5 tied with Colorado atop the NL West. There will be a humidor at Chase Field this season for good to reduce home runs.
Indians at White Sox—
Cleveland sits in the basement of the AL Central at 6-7. Indians sit 29th and second last in MLB in Team ERA at 5.01. They had dropped seven of nine until they beat Minnesota on Monday 3-1 on the road.
White Sox a 6-6 team ranking in the lower third of MLB in runs and team batting. They were sitting on a 4-0 lead in the top of the 8th at the New York Yankees.
Tigers at Twins—
Tigers sit in the top spot in the AL Central at 8-4. Detroit has won their past three series against Boston and Minnesota at home then on the road at Cleveland. They are at Tampa Bay on Tuesday. They are doing this ranking 30th in Team ERA and 29th in WHIP.
Minnesota is 7-6 and has cooled off after a hot start. Twins have lost five of seven scoring a total of one run in those four losses. Minnesota is number one in the Majors in Team ERA and WHIP.
Yankees at Pirates—
Yankees entered play at 9-4 and the hottest team in Major League Baseball winners of eight straight. They are 7-0 on this home stand as they were behind at home to the White Sox on Tuesday. They are hitting the ball and getting good pitching.
Pittsburgh is 6-7 overall and will lose Starling Marte for 80 games and the post season with substance abuse violation. After sweeping the Cubs over the weekend they dropped the first game at St Louis 2-1.
