Mitch from Sports Chat Place guests on the Tonys Picks TV Show and offers his picks, predictions, previews and odds from all of the top games from college football in Week 5 of the 2016 season.

Thursday September 29th—
8PM ET—Connecticut at Houston (ESPN)
Houston -27 ½ points with O/U 51
UCONN upset Houston 20-17 at home last year as a +7 ½ point underdog. The Huskies are 2-2 and coming off a seven point loss to Syracuse at home where they gave up 407 yards passing to the Orange QB.
Houston crushes Texas St last week 64-3 on the road. They have wins at Cincinnati and home to Oklahoma.
8PM ET—Kansas at Texas Tech (FS1)
Texas Tech -28 ½ points with O/U 80
Both teams coming off byes. The Jayhawks moved the football for 475 yards last year on the Tech defense and lost 30-20 at home covering as a +33 point underdog. Their lone win came against an FCS school.
Texas Tech 2-1 with a loss at Arizona St and then they bounce back and beat Louisiana Tech. The Red Raiders play no defense.
Friday September 30th—
9PM ET—Stanford at Washington (ESPN)
Washington -3 with O/U 44 points.
Stanford first year starting quarterback Ryan Burns connects on a short pass late in their road victory at UCLA.
Washington needed overtime to beat Arizona on the road.
10:15PM ET—Toledo at BYU (ESPN2)
BYU -3 ½ points with O/U 52
Toledo comes off a bye week with a blowout home victory to Fresno St to move to 3-0. They have a 21 point road win at Arkansas St.
BYU is 1-3 on a three game losing streak. After a close win to Arizona at home they lose at Utah b one and drop games by three points at home to UCLA and West Virginia.
Saturday October 1st—
12PM ET—Texas at Oklahoma St (ABC)
Oklahoma St -2 ½ points with O/U 71 ½ points.
Texas is coming off a bye week after a poor defensive performance in a 50-43 road defeat at Cal to move to 2-1.
Oklahoma St in their first road game of the year lost at Baylor 35-24 as a +7 point underdog. They gave up 38 points at home in a win to Pittsburgh.
12PM ET—Notre Dame vs. Syracuse (ESPN)
Notre Dame -10 with O/U of 74 ½ points
This game is played at East Rutherford New Jersey.
Notre Dame is 1-3 after losing at home to a rebuilding Duke team 38-35. Brian Kelly fires his defensive coordinator soon after.
Orange quarterback played well in a 31-24 road win at Connecticut to move the team to 2-2.
3:30PM ET—Tennessee at Georgia (CBS)
Tennessee -3 ½ points with O/U 53 points.
The Volunteers spotted Florida a 21-0 lead then the Vols rally to win 38-28.
Georgia looks to rebound after a 45-14 road defeat at Ole Miss.
3:30PM ET—North Carolina at Florida St (ESPN)
Florida St -11 points with O/U 69 points
Both teams are 3-1. The Tar Heels edged Pittsburgh 37-36 on a Mitch Trubisky 2 yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left. It was his fifth TD pass of the day.
Florida St pounded South Florida 55-35 after a blowout road loss at Louisville.
3:30PM ET—Wisconsin at Michigan (ABC)
Michigan -10 ½ points with O/U 44 ½ points.
Both teams are 4-0. Wisconsin beat Michigan St last week 30-6 forcing four Spartans turnovers and 4 of 13 conversions on third down.
Michigan after an early struggle against Colorado a week prior crushes Penn St 49-10. This is their fifth straight home game of the season.
4PM ET—Texas A&M at South Carolina (SEC Network)
Texas A&M -17 ½ points with O/U 47 ½ points.
The Aggies sit at 4-0 after beating Arkansas 45-24 and covering as a touchdown favorite. Texas A&M on 37 rushes averaged nearly 10 yards a carry.
South Carolina drops to 2-2 losing at Kentucky last week 17-10.
5PM ET—Oklahoma at TCU (FOX)
Oklahoma -3 ½ points with O/U 69 ½ points
The Sooners have two losses but none yet against Big 12 teams so a conference title is a goal to aim for.
TCU struggled with SMU up just 6-3 at the half until they broke it open in the second half winning 33-3 and covering as a 21 ½ point favorite.
7PM ET—Kentucky at Alabama (ESPN)
Alabama -35 with O/U 57 ½ points.
The Wildcats sit at 2-2 with home wins to South Carolina and New Mexico St in their past two games.
After a 48-43 win at Ole Miss the Crimson Tide returned home and crushed Kent St 44-0 as a 42 ½ point favorite.
7:30PM ET—Missouri at LSU (SEC)
LSU -13 points.
LSU drops an 18-13 road decision at Auburn to fall to 2-2 and Les Miles gets fired without a fight to keep his job.
Missouri is 2-2 with losses in step up games at West Virginia and losing by one at home to Georgia.
8PM ET—Louisville at Clemson (ABC)
Louisville -2 points with O/U 67 ½ points.
Clemson opened a field goal favorite to big line move here. The Tigers have struggled running the football. Defensively they are allowing 11 points per game good for fifth best in the nation. Their past two meetings were low scoring games.
Louisville crushes Marshall last week on the road 59-28 to move to 4-0. They are the top scoring team in the nation averaging 63.5 points per game.
10:30PM ET—Arizona at UCLA (ESPN)
UCLA -13 ½ points with O/U 58 ½ points.
Arizona is even at 2-2 losing 35-28 in overtime at home to Washington behind a backup quarterback as Anu Solomon was out injured. He is questionable Saturday with a knee injury.
UCLA fell to 2-2 with a tough home loss to Stanford. The run game has dropped off considerable this year as the Bruins rank 114th in the nation on the ground.
