College Football ACC Preview

ACC Atlantic
Clemson Tigers—+400 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 11. Team is coming off a 12-2 record. They lost 24-6 to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl a playoff game. Seven starts back on offense with eight to the defense. Trevor Lawrence starts at quarterback to an offense that generated 33.3 points and 430 yards per game. Defensively they had improvement allowing 12.6 points and 277 yards per game. There was a decline in offensive production a season ago. They travel to Texas A&M in the non-conference and host Furman, Georgia Southern and South Carolina. ACC road games at Georgia Tech, Florida St and Boston College. They face Louisville and NC State at home.

NC State Wolfpack +20000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 7. Wolfpack finished at 9-4 last year after their 52-31 victory to Arizona St in the Sun Bowl as a -7 betting odds favorite. Returning are six starters on offense to three to the defense. Ryan Finley a senior starts at quarterback with three starters to the line. First time starters all on the defensive line and linebacker position. In the non-conference the team faces James Madison, Georgia St and West Virginia at home with a road game at Marshall. NC St goes on the road in the ACC at Clemson, Louisville and rival North Carolina. They must face BC and Florida St at home.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons—+50000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 6.5. Demon Deacons finished at 8-5 after beating Texas A&M in the Belk Bowl 55-52 as a -3 betting odds favorite. Team has eight starters returning on offense with six to the defense. They will break in a first year starter quarterback and there is heated battle. Wake Forest will have eight starters return on offense and six to the defense. Their offensive improved greatly last year averaging 35.2 points along with 466 yards per game. But they did give up 28.3 points per game. Demon Deacons face Tulane on the road. Home non-conference games to Towson, Notre Dame and Rice. ACC road games at Florida St, Louisville, Duke and NC State.

Boston College Eagles—+50000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 6.5. Team went 7-6 following a 27-20 defeat to Iowa in the Pinistripe Bowl as a +3 betting odds underdog. Returning are ten starters on offense and six to the defense. Point production continued improvement last season as the Golden Eagles put up 25.7 points with 367 yards per game. Defensively they held opponents to 22.8 points and 383 yards. More yardage but fewer points the previous season. Anthony Browns returns under center for his sophomore season with his starting running back and offensive live. BC faces in the non-conference at home UMASS, Holy Cross and Temple with a road game at Purdue. Road games in ACC at NC State, Virginia Tech and Florida St. They get Clemson, Miami and Louisville at home.

Louisville Cardinals—+50000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 7. It was an 8-5 season for Louisville after their 31-27 defeat to Mississippi St in the Taxslayer bowl as a -6.5 betting odds favorite. Bobby Petrino returns with seven starters back on offense but only four to the defense. Sophomore Jawon Pass is the leading candidate at starting quarterback. It will be a first year starter. Four starters back to the offensive line. Defensive line loses three starters. Louisville battles Alabama in the non-conference on a neutral field. Home games in the non-conference to Kentucky, Indiana St and Western Kentucky. Road ACC games are at Clemson and Boston College. They get Florida St and NC State at home.

Florida St Seminoles—+3000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 7.5.Seminoles finished at 7-6 last year after their 42-13 victory to Southern Miss in the Independence Bowl. Willie Taggart enters his first season as head coach with eight starters on offense and four to the defense. Deondre Francois returns under center and will have his starting tailback and four offensive lineman. All first year starters at the linebacker positions. Florida St faces Samford, Northern Illinois and Florida at home in the non-conference. College Football ACC Preview. They travel to Notre Dame. ACC road games at Louisville and NC State. They host Virginia Tech in the opener at home and battle Clemson on their home field.

Syracuse Orange—+40000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 5.5. Team finished at 4-8 in 2017 and missed a bowl game for the fourth straight season. Head coach Dino Babers returns for his third season with eight starters back on offense with six to the defense. Eric Dungey returns for his senior season hoping for a healthy year. The line brings back four starters. Their offense generated 27.4 points and 456 yards per game. Defensively team allowed 32.2 points with 444 yards per contest. In the non-conference they travel to Western Michigan and faces Notre Dame on a neutral field. Team hosts Wagner and Connecticut. Road ACC games at Clemson, Pittsburgh and Boston College. They host Louisville, Florida St and NC State.

ACC Coastal—

Miami Hurricanes—+3000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 9.5. Miami went 10-3 a season ago after their 34-24 defeat to Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl as a +6.5 betting odds underdog. Returning are seven starters on offense and seven to the defense. Team produced 29.1 points with 403 yards per game. Defense allowed 21 points with 363 yards. Malik Rosier is the projected starter and he has most of his playmakers. They break in two first time starters to the offensive line. Miami battles LSU on a neutral field and will travel to Toledo. Team faces Savannah St and FIU at home. Road ACC games are Boston College, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Home games to Pittsburgh and Florida St.

Virginia Tech Hokies—+8000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 8.5. Hokies finished at 9-4 following their 30-21 defeat to Oklahoma St in the Camping World Bowl as a +5.5 betting odds underdog. Seven starters return on offense and five to the defense. Team saw offensive production dip last season averaging 28.2 points with 413 yards per game. Defensive improved as Hokies allowed 14.8 points and 319 yards per game. Joshua Jackson returns at starting quarterback with three offensive lineman back. Only one starter returns to the secondary. Hokies face Florida St on Monday night on the road in the opener. Non-conference games at home to William & Mary, East Carolina and Notre Dame. They travel to Old Dominion. Road ACC games at Duke and Pittsburgh. At home they get Miami and Boston College. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets—+50000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 5.5. Yellow Jackets finished at 5-6 as season ago failing to land a bowl berth. Team returns eight starters on offense and five to the defense. Offensively they put up 28 points with 392 yards per game. Taquon Marshall returns at quarterback with experience playmakers. They replace their entire secondary and two of three linebackers. Yellow Jackets in the non-conference meet Alcorn St, Bowling Green at home with road games at Georgia and South Florida. Pittsburgh Panthers College Football ACC Preview-+100000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 5.5. It was a 5-7 season for Pittsburgh last year and failed to make a bowl game. Returning are four starters on offense and nine to the defense. They break in a first year starter at quarterback as Kenny Pickett is the leading candidate. Inexperience out wide and on the offensive line. Their entire front four returns on defense. Pitt in the non-conference will battle Albany and Penn St at home with road games at UCF and Notre Dame. Road ACC games at Miami and Wake Forest. Team faces Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Duke at home.

Virginia Cavaliers—+100000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 5. College Football ACC Preview. It was a 6-7 year for Virginia after their 49-7 defeat to Navy in the Military Bowl as a +1 betting odds underdog. Five starters return on offense with eight to the defense. Their will be a first year starter at quarterback looks to be dual threat Bryce Perkins. They break in two first year starters to the offensive line and tight end. All four in the secondary return. In the non-conference Virginia faces at home Richmond, Ohio and Liberty and faces Indiana on the road. ACC road games at NC State, Duke, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. Cavs get Pittsburgh, Miami and Louisville at home.

Duke Blue Devils—+100000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total of 6. Duke finished at 7-6 after their 36-14 victory to Northern Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl as a -5.5 betting odds favorite. Returning are seven to offense and eight to the defense. Daniel Jones is the projected starter at quarterback with many of his playmakers back. Blue Devils put up 26.5 points with 385 yards per game last year. They defended well limiting opponents to 20.2 points with 333 yards per contest. In the non-conference they hit the road at Northwestern and Baylor with home games to Army along with NC Central. Road ACC games at Miami, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh. They faced Virginia Tech at home.

North Carolina Tar Heels–+100000 odds to win College football championship and Season Win Total Off the Board. Tar Heels finished at 3-9 and missed a bowl game for the first time in four seasons. Team returns five starters on offense and eight to the defense. Thirteen players are facing suspensions of one and up to four games. Chazz Surratt or Nathan Elliot will start at quarterback. Only one starter returns to the offensive line. Defense was poor last year allowing 31.3 points with 436 yards per game. They travel to Cal and East Carolina in the non-conference. At home they battle UCF and Western Carolina. North Carolina travels in ACC to Miami and Duke. Home games to Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech and rival NC State.
