Tony and Mitch break down the big college basketball games this week from a Las Vegas point spread angle.
Wednesday March 2nd—
7PM ET–Miami at Notre Dame (ESPN2)
Notre Dame -2
Miami won the first meeting at home by 9. The Hurricanes are hot team winners of seven of eight games.
Notre Dame looks to bounce back from a road loss by 19 at Florida St. They return home after three straight road games.
8:30PM ET—Seton Hall at Butler (FS1)
Butler -4 ½
Seton Hall has won four straight and eight of nine after a nine point home victory to Xavier.
Butler pulls out a close road overtime win at Georgetown and at 19-9 is on the bubble.
9PM ET—Oregon at UCLA (ESPN2)
Oregon -2
UCLA is at 15-14 with two straight losses after a nine point loss at Stanford.
Oregon has won three straight after losing at Stanford and Cal.
Thursday March 3rd—
7PM ET—Illinois at Maryland (ESPN)
Maryland -14
It is a disappointing year for Illinois at 13-16 and 7-8 in the Big Ten. They come off a 13 point home win at home to Minnesota.
Maryland drops a road game at Purdue for their third loss in four games.
9PM ET—California at Arizona (ESPN)
Arizona -5
Looks like Arizona won win the PAC 12 regular season title at 10-6 in conference. Wildcats are looks to rebound after losses last week at Utah and Colorado.
Cal has won seven straight after beating USC and UCLA at home last week.
Saturday March 5th—
12PM ET—NC State at Notre Dame (CBS)
Notre Dame -9
We talked Notre Dame already
A bad year for NC State at 14-15 overall and 4-12 in the ACC. They have lost two straight as they host Boston College on Wednesday.
12PM ET—Ohio St at Michigan St (ESPN)
Michigan St -14
The Spartans are in a logjam for second place in the Big 10 which can mean a more favorable seed next week. They travel to Rutgers on Wednesday with a four game win streak and wins in nine of ten games.
Ohio St 19-11 overall and has won five of six after a four point home victory to Iowa.
2PM ET—LSU at Kentucky (CBS)
Kentucky -13
The Wildcats were in action at Florida looking to bounce back from a road loss at Vanderbilt.
LSU host Missouri after breaking a three game losing streak by beating Florida at home. At 17-12 the Tigers might need to win the SEC tournament to get into the dance.
2PM ET—West Virginia at Baylor (ESPN)
Baylor -1
West Virginia will host Texas Tech on Wednesday with a two game win streak after beating Iowa St and Oklahoma St.
Baylor is in a battle at Oklahoma after winning at TCU.
2:30PM ET—Creighton at Xavier (FOX)
Xavier -10
Xavier has secured their bid for an NCAA Tournament. Their four game win streak was snapped with a loss at Seton Hall.
Creighton will travel to Providence on Wednesday with a mark of 18-11 and a bubble team.
6:30PM ET—North Carolina at Duke (ESPN)
Duke -2
Rematch of a meeting back on February 17th that saw Duke won 79-74. North Carolina comes off a home victory to Syracuse.
Duke is hosting Wake Forest looking to bounce back from a road defeat at Pittsburgh.
8:30PM ET—Louisville at Virginia (ESPN)
Virginia -5
Louisville will not play in the NCAA Tournament. They host Georgia Tech tonight looking to bounce back from a road defeat at Miami.
Sunday March 6th—
12PM ET—SMU at Cincinnati (CBS)
Cincinnati -2
SMU is another team not participating in the NCAA Tournament. They host UCONN on Thursday winners of three straight.
Cincinnati will play at Houston Thursday with two straight wins.
4:30PM ET—Maryland at Indiana (CBS)
Indiana -6
We talked Maryland already
The Hoosiers travel to Iowa on Tuesday winners of three straight after crushing Illinois on the road.
7:30PM ET—Wisconsin at Purdue (B10)
Purdue -5
Wisconsin will play at Minnesota on Wednesday with nine wins in their past ten games.
Purdue is at Nebraska on Tuesday after a four point home victory to Maryland.
