Monday January 12th—
CFB Championship Game
8:30PM ET–Ohio St vs. Oregon (ESPN)
Oregon -6 ½ points with a total of 75 points.
Oregon takes advantage of Florida St’s miscues in their 59-10 victory in the Rose Bowl. After going down 21-6 in the Sugar Bowl the Buckeyes rally for 28 unanswered points. Sophomore running back Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 230 yards against Alabama on 20 carries and two touchdowns. He ran for 220 yards on 20 carries against Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game.
Wednesday January 7th
7PM ET–NC State at Virginia (ESPN2)
Virginia -16
The Cavaliers are off to a 13-0 start. They needed overtime in their ACC conference opener at Miami on Saturday to win 89-80. The Cavs ranked number two in points allowed and defensive field goal percentage as teams score under 51 points and shoot 33 ½% against Virginia.
NC State is 11-4 and 0-1 in true road games with a five point loss at Purdue. They beat Pittsburgh at home by 16 in their ACC opener.
9PM ET—Colorado at Utah (ESPN2)
Utah -10
Both teams are off to a 2-0 record in the PAC 12. The Utes are 12-2 overall with blowout wins at home to UCLA and USC last week
Colorado after a Christmas Day loss at Hawaii rebound with a 21 point win to USC and by six at home to UCLA last week.
Thursday January 8th
7PM ET—Michigan St at Iowa (ESPN)
Iowa -1
The Hawkeyes are 11-4 overall and kicked off Big Ten play with a road win by six at Ohio St and they defeated Nebraska at home on Monday by 11 points.
Michigan St is 10-5 overall. They opened up Big Ten play with a two point overtime home loss to Maryland and followed up that performance with a 20 point home win to Indiana on Monday. In there only true road game they lose by one in overtime at Notre Dame.
9PM ET—Stanford at UCLA (ESPN)
Stanford is 10-3 overall. They were a Sweet 16 team from a season ago. They opened up PAC 12 play with home wins last week to Washington St and to Washington in overtime.
UCLA is down big time at 8-7 overall. They have lost five straight all too tough competition. They opened up PAC 12 play last week with a six point loss at Colorado then on Saturday get crushed 71-39 at Utah.
Saturday January 10th
11AM ET—Cincinnati at Connecticut (ESPN2)—
Connecticut -4
Heading into Tuesday night the Bearcats are 10-3 on the year. They opened up AAC play on Saturday with a 6 point home win to SMU. They have a true road defeat at Nebraska in OT and won by 16 at NC State.
UCONN is 7-5 overall as they visited South Florida on Tuesday. They lose at Temple to open AAC play on their home court in overtime. They responded with four point win over the weekend in a non-conference win at Florida.
12PM ET—Ohio St at Indiana (ESPN)—
Ohio St -1
Buckeyes are 12-3 overall. They lose their Big Ten conference opener at home to Iowa by six points then bounced back on Saturday with a 77-61 home victory to Illinois. They are 0-1 in true road games with a nine point defeat at Louisville. They are at Minnesota on Tuesday night.
Indiana is 11-4 overall. They opened Big Ten play on the road with a 5 point win at Nebraska then lose by 20 at Michigan St on Monday.
2PM ET—Louisville at North Carolina (ESPN)—
North Carolina -2
Louisville is 13-1 overall and 2-0 in true road games. They kicked off ACC conference play with a 9 point road win at Wake Forest on Sunday. They host Clemson on Wednesday.
North Carolina is 11-4 overall and suffered their second loss on their home court this season dropping a 71-70 decision to Notre Dame on Monday. The have a five point home loss to Iowa this season.
2:15PM ET—Seton Hall at Creighton (FOX 1)—
Seton Hall -2
Seton Hall at 12-2 overall has a 2-0 mark against the Big East. Both losses came in true road games at Georgia by 18 and to Wichita St by 9 points. They picked up wins last week to St Johns and then Villanova in overtime on Saturday. They travel to Xavier on Wednesday.
Creighton is 9-6 overall and are losers of three straight all on the road. They are 0-2 in the Big East with losses at Providence by 12 points and to Georgetown by 15 on Saturday. The Blue Jays host DePaul on Wednesday.
6PM ET—Virginia at Notre Dame (ESPN2)—
Virginia -4
We talked about Virginia already
Notre Dame is 15-1 straight up and 3-0 against the ACC. They past their first true road game by beating North Carolina by 1 on Monday. They opened up ACC play on December 13th by beating Florida St by 20 points at home.
Sunday January 11th
1:30PM ET—Duke at NC State (CBS)—
Duke -11
We talked about NC State already
Duke is a perfect 13-0 and 1-0 against the ACC. In their ACC opener the Blue Devils crush Boston College by 22 points. They will head into Wake Forest on Wednesday night.
8PM ET—Florida St at Syracuse (ESPNU)—
Syracuse -11
Florida St is off an 8-6 start overall. They are 0-2 in true road games. They headed to Mississippi St on Friday and got beat 62-55. We said earlier in their ACC opener on December 13th they lose by 20 at Notre Dame.
Syracuse is 10-4 overall. In their ACC opener they traveled to Virginia Tech won by two points. Bad free throw shooting by the Orange down the stretch allowed the Hokies to chip away at the Syracuse lead. Virginia Tech missed an open three point shot at the buzzer. Syracuse heads to Georgia Tech on Wednesday.
10PM ET—Stanford at USC (ESPNU)—
Stanford -6
We talked about Stanford already
USC is 8-6 overall. They had an awful start to PAC 12 play last weekend with a 24 point loss at Utah and a 21 point defeat at Colorado. The Trojans are 294th in the nation from three and 335th in the nation from the free throw line.
