Tony and Mitch break down the big college basketball games this week from a Las Vegas point spread angle.
Wednesday January 17th—
6:30PM ET—Marquette at Xavier (FOX Sports 1)
Xavier -7.5
Marquette is 4-3 in the Big East. They have a true road win at Providence but dropped games at Butler and Villanova. 2-1 ATS in the road in Big East.
Xavier has a very good home court. Sit at 13-0 straight up. Team is 6-2 in conference after a nine point win at Seton Hall on Saturday. They have a recent 22 point home victory to Creighton.
9PM ET—Stanford at USC (ESPN U)
USC -10
Stanford fell to 5-2 in the PAC 12 after a two point home defeat to Arizona. That broke a five game wins streak. This is rematch as the Cardinal beat the Trojans 77-76 on a half court buzzer beater as a 4.5 underdog.
USC sits at 6-2 in the PAC 12. They went up to the Oregon schools last week and came away with two wins. It is now a four game win streak.
Thursday January 18th
7PM ET—Michigan at Purdue (ESPN)
Purdue -13
Purdue is 8-0 in the Big Ten after pounding Iowa on the road by 23 on Saturday. They have three straight covers all as heavy favorites.
Michigan is 6-3 in conference bouncing back with a 62-47 home victory to Rutgers on Sunday as a 12 point favorite. In their last road game they got beat by 20 at Nebraska.
9PM ET—UCF at Wichita St (ESPN 2)
Wichita St -11
UCF sits 4-3 in the AAC after a two point win at South Florida broke a two game losing streak. Knights rank third in points allowed and fifth in defensive field goal percentage.
Wichita St is 5-2 in conference entering play on a two game losing streak dropping games at home to SMU by five at home and at Houston by 14. They have up 83 points at home to SMU.
Friday January 19th
6:30PM ET—Buffalo at Ohio (CBS Sports Network)
Buffalo -7
Buffalo is 6-0 as they are hosting Eastern Michigan on Tuesday. They built a 39-17 halftime lead. They have five covers and one push in the MAC.
Ohio sits at 2-4 in the MAC as they are in action in a close one late at Akron. Bobcats had dropped three of four entering Tuesday.
9PM ET—Oakland at Northern Kentucky (ESPNU)
Northern Kentucky -10
Northern Kentucky sits at 7-1 in the Horizon on a three game win streak after a 12 point road win at Green Bay on Saturday. Norse can shoot the basketball hitting 48.7%.
Oakland is 5-3 in conference and on a four game win streak after a 92-86 win at Detroit on Saturday. Golden Grizzlies are 1-6 ATS in their past seven games as they struggle defensively allowing 46.2% with 37% from three.
Saturday January 20th
12PM ET—NC State at North Carolina (CBS)
North Carolina -13
NC State is 3-4 in the ACC as they travel to Pittsburgh on Wednesday following a home defeat to Miami
North Carolina is 5-3 in conference coming off a 11 point road defeat as a 3.5 favorite at Virginia Tech on Monday. North Carolina has struggled against the point spread on the road but have won and covered three straight at home.
2PM ET—Virginia at Duke (CBS)
Duke -2
Virginia tops in the ACC at 8-0 as they crushed Clemson 61-36 on Tuesday. Virginia outscored the Tigers 34-13 in the second half.
Duke is 5-2 in conference as they are at Wake Forest on Tuesday. Their ACC losses came at Boston College and NC St ate.

Oklahoma at Alabama (ESPN)
Oklahoma -2
Oklahoma is coming off an emotional home victory to Kansas with a strong finish overcoming a deficit. They moved to 5-3 in the Big 12. The win broke a two game losing streak all on the road at Kansas St and Oklahoma St failing to cover as a 2 point favorite.
Alabama is in action at Ole Miss on Tuesday entering play on a four game win streak with three of those victories at home. They are 4-0 at home in the SEC but play a Big 12 opponent on Saturday.
4:30PM ET—Texas A&M at Kansas (ESPN)
Kansas -7
Kansas blew a second half lead as they fell at Oklahoma on Tuesday. They fell to 6-2 in the Big 12. The loss broke a five game win streak.
Texas A&M is at LSU as a favorite on Tuesday on a two game win streak all at home to Missouri and Ole Miss. Aggies 2-5 ATS in the SEC.
7PM ET—Kentucky at West Virginia (ESPN)
West Virginia -8
West Virginia is 5-3 in the Big 12 as they dropped their third game in four to TCU on Monday 82-73 as a two point favorite.
Kentucky is in action Tuesday at home to Mississippi St looking to bounce back from a two game losing streak. They had a two point home defeat to Florida on Saturday night.
10:30PM ET—Stanford at UCLA (PAC 12)
We talked Stanford already
Bruins lost both games at the Oregon schools last week. The losing streak is three games as it began with a 68-59 home defeat to Colorado. Bruins fell to Stanford in OT in their first meeting 107-99.
Sunday January 21st
1PM ET—Michigan St at Maryland (CBS)
Michigan St -4
Spartans are 6-2 in conference as they host Wisconsin Friday. The have back to back wins at covers home to Indiana by 28 and at Illinois by 13.
Maryland fell to 4-5 in the Big Ten after their three point defeat at Indiana. They have been hit with injuries. Terrapins have dropped three of four all coming on the road.
1PM ET—Villanova at Marquette (FOX)
Villanova -8
We talked Marquette already
Villanova moved to 19-1 overall and 6-1 in the big East after their 20 point victory to Providence covering as a 16 point favorite. They got off to a slow start but had a huge first half run.
6PM ET—Clemson at Georgia Tech (ESPN U)
Clemson -8
Clemson looks to rebound after a 25 point defeat at Virginia where they were held to 36 points. Tigers have lost three straight on the road.
Georgia Tech is 3-3 in the ACC as they travel to Florida St on Wednesday losers of two straight failing to cover at North Carolina and home to Virginia. Prior to those opponents the Yellow Jackets had won four straight.
8PM ET—Washington St at Washington (ESPN U)
Washington -7
Huskies are 4-3 in the PAC 12. They split their Rocky Mountain road trip losing by 8 at Utah and beating Colorado by 12 as a 5.5 underdog. This is an improved defensive team with the former Syracuse assistant coach now as the head coach of Washington.
Washington St sits at 1-6 in conference. They were swept at Utah and Colorado last week failing to cover both games. Only win came at home to a down Cal team in the PAC 12. Every PAC 12 loss resulted in a failed cover.
