Other losses came at Auburn by 2, South Carolina and Notre Dame at home. USC drops to 6-6 with their 49-35 home defeat to Notre Dame. All their Big 10 losses were by one possession.

The Las Vegas Bowl is played in a Dome. Texas A&M will lose three defensive starters who have opted out. The coaching staff told the media he expects the remainder of the starters to be available. USC has several players hitting the portal but opting out is a running back and corner. Looks like Lincoln Riley will play his younger players as the portal players will likely not play. Riley must feel enough job security to do this. USC has lots of players on both sides hit the portal. Both coaches commented that it has the look of their 2025 opener. USC starting quarterback Jake Maiava has two more years of eligibility and could be in the mix for next year’s starting job with a good showing. He started the final three games of the season. Freshman quarterback Marcel Reed will start for Texas A&M. He completed just 61% of his passes and is a threat to run.
