NCAAB Best and Worst ATS Teams

Unbeaten ATS Records For 26 D-I Teams to Start Season

Stony Brook, from the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), had the best ATS mark last year at 25-8-1 with Minnesota going 25-9-0 and being 23-3 ATS at one point with 9 straight ATS covers. This year, Stony Brook has started 1-3 ATS while the Golden Gophers are 1-4 ATS, so Minnesota went a few months without registering its 4th ATS while it has lost 4 ATS in the first three weeks of the 2024-25 NCAA Basketball season. Two–time defending national champions Connecticut (28-12-0 in 2023-24)—12-0 SU/ATS in its last 12 games in the Big Dance—is 3-1 ATS this year with the Huskies losing their first game ATS in 11, beating Texas A&M Commerce, 81-46, but failing to get the butter by 2.5 points (UCONN -37.5). Connecticut, owners of the best ATS record since 2020, going 87-50-2 (63.5%) will face Memphis on Monday, November 25 (ESPN2, 2:30 ET/11:30 PT) in a big test for both teams.

Best ATS Teams to Fade Have Actually Covered a Game

Pacific was the worst NCAA Basketball team ATS last season (6-24), and fading this team again this season seems like a smart thing to do with the Tigers off to a 2-3 ATS beginning after a loss to Missouri on Friday night, 91-56 in Columbia (MIZZOU -20.5). Pacific—0-16 SU in the WCC last year—is now 29-75-3 ATS in its last 107 games. Mississippi Valley State (2-2 ATS)—the lowest rated team (#354) in the respected Ken Pomeroy RatingsSan José State (2-3 ATS), IU Indy (1-3 ATS), and Chicago State (1-5 ATS) are all schools who have covered this first month of College hoops, but ideal teams to bet against. IU Indy (9-20 ATS in 2023) lost 71-57 to Coastal Carolina (CC -3) on Friday while Indiana State ransacked Chicago State, 97-61 (ISU -17.5),

NCAAB ATS Pick and Prediction—Monday, November 25

The Free College Basketball pick for Sunday will be to back Radford (3-2 ATS, O/U 4-1-0) against Chicago State (1-5-0 ATS, O/U 4-2-0) in the Windy City on Monday morning in an early start (10:30 am EST/7:30 am PST). The Cougars are 2-8 SU in their last 10 and 3-6-0 ATS in their last 9 lined games with the Over a profitable 7-2-0. The big thing to look at here is the margin of losses in the last 5 Chicago State games: 20 vs Youngstown State (80-60); 47 to Texas (105-58); 45 to San Francisco (82-37); 20 to Eastern Kentucky (86-66); and by 36 to Indiana State (97-61) which is an average of 33.6 ppg. Keep it simple. Take the Highlanders (4-2 SU) in this spot.

Kevin’s Pick: Radford – the points over Chicago State
