Lightning vs. Penguins Game Analysis
All right, let’s get into it—Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Pittsburgh Penguins here on Tuesday.
Looking at the starting goalies, it should be Vasilevskiy getting the nod for the Lightning, while Nedeljkovic is expected to start for the Penguins.
The Penguins just ended a three-game losing streak with a shootout win against the Sharks. While they got the two points, they did give up one to the Sharks. Before that, Pittsburgh managed a win against Washington, which was their first in five games. During their losing stretch, they struggled to score goals, managing just one or two goals in each loss.
On the other hand, Tampa Bay comes into this matchup on a hot streak, winning two straight games. They beat the Jets and the Devils, holding both teams to a single goal or fewer. In fact, Tampa shut out the Devils in their last outing, showing solid defensive play.
Head-to-head, the Penguins have had the edge, winning six of the last seven meetings. However, Tampa is the favorite in this one for good reason—they’re playing better hockey overall.
Free Pick: Lightning on the Puck Line
As much as I’d like to back a home underdog here, the Penguins barely managed to beat the Sharks in their last game. Meanwhile, Tampa is coming in hot and ready to dominate.
Give me Tampa Bay on the puck line in this one Tuesday night.
Thanks, everybody, for tuning in! Have yourself a good one, and I’ll see you on the next one!
