Rangers vs. Canucks Game Analysis
All right, let’s get into it—Rangers vs. Canucks.
Interestingly, both these teams actually play their better hockey on the road. The Rangers are 6-1 on the road, and the Canucks are also 6-1 on the road. However, at home, Vancouver has struggled with a 3-4-3 record. Meanwhile, the Rangers, while great on the road, still play solid hockey at home and have gotten off to a great start this season.
Head-to-head, this will be the first meeting of the year. Last season, they split the series: New York came into Vancouver and got a 4-3 overtime win, but the Canucks returned the favor with a 6-3 win in New York. Looking further back, we’ve seen some high-scoring games between these two teams. Scores include 4-3, 6-4, 5-2, and 3-2 overtime. Five of the last six meetings head-to-head have seen six or more goals.
As for tonight, Shesterkin is expected to get the start for the Rangers, while Kevin Lankinen is likely in net for the Canucks.
Free Pick: Rangers on the Money Line
The Rangers have been impressive on the road, covering the puck line in 14 of their last 15 road games, dating back to last season. This is a team that performs consistently well, and I see value in taking them on the money line here.
Vancouver has only managed three regulation wins at home in 10 contests this season, making the Rangers the stronger play in this matchup. Give me the Rangers on the money line at a coin-flip price in this one Tuesday night.
Thanks, everybody, for tuning in! I appreciate each and every one of you. Have yourself a wonderful Tuesday, tackle the books, and I’ll see you on the next one!
