Minnesota Wild vs. St. Louis Blues Game Breakdown

All right, let’s get into this action between the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues.

The Blues have been struggling, with only one win in their last four hockey games. If you extend that further, it’s actually one win in their last six games. The Blues are definitely having a tough time, especially after that recent road trip. They battled early but got beat up by Carolina toward the end of it.

The Wild, on the other hand, have won three of their last five games but are coming off a loss to Dallas in their last outing. They’ll definitely be looking for a bounce back here.

Head-to-head, the Blues have won three of the last four meetings between these two teams, with two of those three games needing overtime or a shootout to decide the winner. The last meeting was earlier this year when the Wild came into St. Louis and secured a nice 4-1 win.

Free Pick: Lean to the Blues and the Under

For this one, I’m looking for the Blues to get a little revenge. Historically, after losing three of four hockey games, they’ve been able to bounce back and grab a win. I’m leaning toward the Blues here with Binnington in goal, while Gustavsson should be starting for the Wild.

I also lean toward the under in this matchup. When the Blues are coming off a blowout loss of three-plus goals, they’ve bounced back with a 19-5 record to the under. This is going to be a hard-hitting game, as these two teams don’t like each other.

Expect a tighter, low-scoring affair—closer to what we’ve seen before. I’ll take the under 5.5 goals with the Blues getting the job done.

Thanks, everybody, for tuning in! I appreciate each and every one of you. Have yourself a wonderful Tuesday, and until I see you on the next one!
