Speaking of hockey, let’s dive into this matchup.
For Detroit, it looks like Talbot is getting the start in goal. He’s coming off his 250th career win and has been playing great hockey this season, really stepping up for the Red Wings.
For San Jose, Blackwood has been their guy, and he’s been performing well. The Sharks have been playing solid defensive hockey, keeping themselves in games thanks to Blackwood’s efforts.
Key Trends and Analysis
Looking at the Sharks, they’re 5-0 to the under when facing teams that give up a lot of goals. Detroit, on the other hand, is averaging 2.8 goals allowed per game, and that number has crept up a bit in recent outings.
With both Talbot and Blackwood in net, I think this game shapes up to be a goalie’s duel. The total for this game is set at 6.5, which feels just a bit too high. I like the under here.
