Colorado Buffaloes vs. Utah Utes
The first game we’re taking a look at is the Colorado Buffaloes taking on the Utah Utes. Colorado is currently favored by 13.5 points, and I’m going to lay the points here with the Buffaloes. Colorado is having a great season right now and is playing a Utah team that continues to battle through injuries, especially at the quarterback position.
Now, I will say the Utah defense has been very good this season. They’ve kept the team in a lot of ballgames, but their offense has struggled significantly. With Cameron Rising in and out of the lineup early on, Utah has now moved to their second or even third quarterback, and they’re really struggling to move the ball.
We know this Colorado team can score. While Utah’s defense is solid, I don’t have any concerns about Colorado moving the ball here. They’re very dynamic on offense, and their defense, while not perfect, is much improved. For Colorado standards, it’s been a solid season defensively.
Give me Colorado minus 13.5 at home.
Jacksonville State vs. FIU
The second game we’re looking at is Jacksonville State taking on FIU. Jacksonville State has been one of my favorite teams to watch and back this season. They have one of the best rushing attacks in college football, and I’m taking them here at -13, which is the current line.
FIU, defensively, has been okay recently, but their offense has struggled all season. They’re in the bottom third in points per game and are going up against a Jacksonville State offense that can really move the ball.
Now, I will say Jacksonville State’s defense does scare me a bit—they tend to give up big plays—but the FIU offense doesn’t worry me much. They’re low-scoring and unlikely to take advantage of those defensive lapses.
