Recent Matchup Recap
Alright, let’s get into this action between the Oilers and the Maple Leafs here on Saturday. Should be a good hockey game.
These teams, when they get together, have definitely been barn burners. The last time I watched this matchup, the Oilers got the win 4-2 at home, and man, was that a barn burner! The Leafs got up to an early lead in that one, but the Oilers came roaring back, went up 3-2 late, and then swept home an empty-netter to make it 4-2.
After that, they swapped venues and went back to Toronto, where the Maple Leafs dominated with a 6-3 win in that one. So, home ice has been where the advantage lies in the last five head-to-head meetings. These teams only play twice a year, so you’ve got to go all the way back to find those results.
McDavid Shines Under the Spotlight
You know McDavid loves to come to Toronto and put on a show. He’s definitely used to getting on the scoresheet, and I like him for a two-plus point night here.
Expect High Scoring: Take the Over
I’d also lean toward the over in this game. The last time these two teams played in Toronto, we saw a nine-goal outburst. Before that, it was an 11-goal game, and before that, a six-goal outing. When these teams get together, especially on a Saturday night in Toronto, you can expect fireworks.
Take the over between the Oilers and the Leafs. I lean slightly toward the Oilers, but that’s just me being a homer. The over is the play here for Saturday night.
Thanks, everybody, for tuning in. Appreciate each and every one of you. Have yourself a wonderful Saturday. Take care, and I’ll catch you on the next one.
