Expected Starting Goalies
Alright, let’s get this action between Dallas and Minnesota here on Saturday. Should be Oettinger getting the start for Dallas in this one. Should be Gustavsson getting the start for the Wild. Gustavsson is confirmed to get the start for the Wild in this one.
And you look at what these two teams have been doing—playing pretty good hockey. Both teams, winners of three of their last four hockey games. Dallas’s lone meeting came to the Winnipeg Jets—no shame in that one. The Wild’s lone loss came to the Blackhawks, yikes—2-1 in that one. Shame, but they bounced back, beat up Montreal, shut them out in their next game following that one.
Head-to-Head Dominance
And here in this one—hey, what’s Dallas done head-to-head? Dominated. They’ve won the last six meetings head-to-head, and in those meetings, it’s been pretty clear. The last four or five ones head-to-head have been beatdowns, as winners of two-plus: 7-2, 4-0, 8-3, 4-1, 4-0. Dallas has definitely dominated this Wild team over the seasons, and I think that continues here.
Dallas and Oettinger just playing lights-out hockey. Minnesota, yeah, they’ve been playing some good hockey, but they’ve had some, “lay-an-egg” spots. I think this is one of those. Lay-an-egg spots.
You look—Dallas, as I said, playing pretty good hockey here when it comes to, beating up on the Wild. Winners of six straight—make it seven. Take Dallas in this one on Saturday night.
