Blackhawks’ Struggles Against the Canucks
Alright, let’s get into the action between the Blackhawks and Canucks.
The Blackhawks are looking to avenge an earlier season loss when they fell to the Canucks at home, 6-3. Going back even further, the Blackhawks have lost eight straight games to the Canucks, and in only one of those eight games have they managed to cover the puck line. The Canucks are favored here at -143, so I lean toward the Canucks winning on the puck line in this one on Saturday night.
Betting Pick: Focus on the Total
However, my play for this game is on the under. Looking at the Blackhawks’ trends, when they’re trying to avenge a home loss earlier in the season, they’re 19-4 to the under. Expect a strong start from Petr Mrázek, who should get the start in goal for Chicago, and Kevin Lankinen for the Canucks.
I see this as a game where the first team to three wins—if we even get to three. The total is set at 5.5 but could pop up to 6 as betting trends develop. Although the earlier matchup ended 6-3, I expect a tighter game this time. My recommendation? Take the under on this one.
Final Thoughts
I also lean slightly toward the Blackhawks pulling off the win, but I don’t fully trust the Canucks here—especially at this price—after their recent loss to the Islanders. No, no, no. The under is the play for Saturday.
Thanks, everybody, for tuning in! I appreciate each and every one of you. Have yourself a wonderful Saturday, and we’ll catch you on the next one.
