All right, let’s get into the action between the Blackhawks and Seattle this Thursday. Chicago managed to get themselves a win, but what usually happens? They follow it up with a loss. It’s been tough for this Blackhawks team to win back-to-back games, and coming into Seattle, they’re in another challenging spot. As I mentioned, they’re just 1-17 following a straight-up win.
Seattle’s Home Ice Advantage
Seattle, on the other hand, plays their best hockey at home, with a 4-3-1 record this season. They average about three goals per game while also allowing around three goals. Looking at the Blackhawks’ road stats, they’re 4-5-1 on the road, averaging 2.7 goals per game and giving up 2.9. This should be a close hockey game, but I think the Kraken have the edge here.
The Goalie Matchup: Daccord vs. Mrazek
Seattle has been the slightly better team this season with 15 points compared to Chicago’s 13. Mrazek has had his moments, but he’s been inconsistent, and it looks like he’ll get the start for Chicago. Daccord is likely starting for Seattle, and I prefer Daccord over Mrazek any day.
That’s why Seattle is favored here. To knock a little juice off, you can take Seattle in regulation. Either way, I’m taking Seattle to win this one on Thursday night.
