Boston and Dallas: Strong Seasons So Far

All right, let’s dive into it: Boston vs. Dallas. Two teams playing some pretty good hockey, both with 18 points, but they’ve come about it in different ways. Boston is 8-7-2 on the season, while Dallas stands at 9-5-0. As I mentioned, both teams have 18 points, and Dallas has been lights-out at home this season, boasting a 6-0 record. The Stars are playing their best hockey at home, scoring around 3.2 goals per game while holding opponents to just one goal per game.

A Lean Towards a Higher-Scoring Game

With those numbers, I’m leaning toward a higher-scoring game here. Dallas has been averaging 3.6 goals per game against Eastern Conference teams this season, with a 4-3 record to the over in those matchups. At home, however, the under has been strong, with a 0-5-1 record for Dallas home games going under.

Over for the Bruins vs. Stars Matchup

Still, this Boston team knows how to score, averaging 2.5 goals per game. I could see this one ending up 3-3, with someone needing a late goal to get the win. So, I like the over in this game. Dallas has taken over 33 shots in three straight games, and they’re 12-1 to the over in those situations. I think we’ll see some goals here—a game that might surprise with a high score.

I’m leaning toward the over as the play here on Thursday night, with a slight lean toward Boston potentially stealing one, but give me the over as the main play.
